President Clinton: We should all listen to the tea party movement
By Willow Bay
The tea party is saying something "everyone should hear," says President Bill Clinton, that "everyone but average Americans are doing alright."
(Excerpt) Read more at news.yahoo.com ...
The Tea Party is worried about all the people. We sink or swim together.
Just like Palin is our best strategist, Clinton is still their best strategist.
LOL, laying out the groundwork for Hillary and his path back into the oral office. Listen to the tea party, throw out the dems, crush obama and make him can a second term.
The only worry I'd have is if Obama actually took the old drunk's advise.
The truth is Slick Willie has forgotten more about the average American voter than 0bama will know in his lifetime.
The Clintonistas can do a lot to turn Obozo into a one-term President by turning the Democrats against him after the Nov. elections shake things up.
“...Clinton realizes that the TEA Party is “We the People.”
####
Absolutely.
So why do so many on FR worry about “how we look to other people”.
Who are we trying to please?
Looks like the sly fox is still trying to triangulate.
All this sanity suddenly being displayed by the Democrats is designed to take some of the steam out of the Tea Party Rebellion. It is aimed at those mushy moderates and disenchanted Democrats who are about to jump ship. The idea is to make them think that maybe the Democrats aren't as bad as they first thought.
Don't be deceived. It is just another Democrat lie.
You know slick well and your screen name is aptly chosen. The TEA Party needs to be on the look out for new members who want to lead.
Izzat a wax dummy? Dudnt look real.
See #11, by Mind-numbed Robot, for your answer.
We're not going to win by playing political games. We're going to win by winning the electorate. And Slickster recognizes that. He's not maneuvering over legislation or positions--he's aiming for what's behind it all--the voters.
And he knows it's those mushy moderates who swing things, not the liberals or conservatives (who provide the anchored base or let go, but don't swing things).
Nope, just a dummy.
“Hubba hubba, did you see those ladies that pour the tea?”
Translation: “We must seek ways to co-opt this movement & prevent it from overthrowing our control.” Few are going to be fooled by his statement after all he struggled [ when others might have resigned ] to remain in power.
Sucking up will get you nowhere, Billy! Leading the way for the scared democrats to follow and claim to be understanding of WE THE PEOPLE so there won’t be a total annihilation on voting day, are ye? Think all those MEMBERS OF THE MOB from last summer’s Town Hall fiascos are gonna forget how they were locked outside meeting halls while SEIU goons in purple shots got sent to the front of the line and filled the venue??? The tea partiers who were insulted with sexual slurs from the president on down?? The tea partiers that the president didn’t know about, or notice when a million or so of’em marched on DC in ‘09 and a few weeks ago?!
PULEEZE, do not make me throw up with your phoney commiseration with the Tea Party movement. It’s a sham, and what my kids call ‘phony baloney’!!! >:-()
shots=shirts, sorry!
There will be that.
The tea party should be prepared.
There should be a Democrat tea party.
Where insufficiently ???? Democrats are primaried.
That’s an opportunity for a huge mindf.
We do that, well, what’s a DINO? ;-)
What the hell are you talking about, Bubba? If you can't find a job, you're not "doing alright". If your house is upside-down or foreclosed, you are not "doing alright". If you are going to be forced to buy health care you can't afford, you're not "doing alright". Ig you've had to declare bankruptcy, you're not "doing alright". That's a very large swath of people and dismissing them like that is insulting and ignorant.
But, sure, YOU can afford to throw a wedding for your daughter in the priciest places in New York so YOU'RE doing alright but don't be so dismissive of the rest of us, you commie creep.
Clinton is the legal definition of LIAR.
He should just shut up and go rest, take care of his heart and his new large home.
Putting aside my basic disagreement that the hugely overrated “independents/moderates” decide elections, what part SPECIFICALLY of the Tea Party platform should we compromise to please this amorphous group of apathetic, rudderless voters.
It is much better to educate them on what REAL conservatism means.
“Clinton is the legal definition of LIAR.”
That depends on what your definition of ‘is’ is;)
The Party Party is the Democrat version of the tea party.
We run it.
The Party Party believes in Antiwar
The Party Party believes in Legalize it!
The Party Party hates politicians telling you what to do
all the time.
The Party Party candidates are rock stars, with mailing lists and twitter and facebook bigger than Christine.
“Hey fans, listen, I need $20 right now for TV ads. Click here now.” Get a million bucks. Run TV ads. Demolish.
You’ve got to fight for your Constitutional Right to Party, as the Beastie Boys have said.
If they get elected, they’re DINOs.
True to some degree. But you don’t need to use ideology to get the votes of the nonideological.
1) Keep base happy. They’re happy, they turnout.
2) Appeal to others some other way. Christine. Pretty young female appeals to people.
You don’t change your positions. That only pisses off the base. They stay home, you lose. You get the nomination by pleasing the base, proving you’re a good conservative. Then, you can stop talking about conservative stuff. You can talk about yourself then. Or whatever you think will appeal to certain demographics. Or whatever. Conservative is an ideology. Liberal is an ideology. That’s it. Moderate and Independent is code for “huh?”
I talked to a lot of people last night. I don’t think anyone volunteered the word liberal or conservative. But hate politicians, definitely. These are gettable 18-29s.
We think that 18-29s are liberal because they vote for a guy who is younger than their grandpa.
We think that the Northeast is Liberal because they don’t really like cowboys.
Bill is certain that the American people want for him to have another White House intern.
Clinton saying ‘we should listen to the Tea Party movement’ is like Obama inviting conservatives to dinner to actually listen to what they have to say.
These utterances by Bill are designed to set the stage for his wife’s inevitable campaign for the presidency in 2012. The Clintons are beginning the process of putting distance between themselves and the Ubama regime. This is clever, too, because Hillary can keep her hands clean while Bill plots and plants these little seeds. It’s the ultimate triangulation strategy.
” Just like Palin is our best strategist “
Surely you jest ?
I feel pretty sure she will try this, but nobody has been able to explain how she will win the election without the black vote. There is no way blacks will not blame her if she dethrones OBummer and that's even if OBummer refuses to run again.
Good post!My same thought.
BINGO! Give the man a cigar.
Um, he said in effect the average American was not doing alright.
Bill Clinton is the strategist Obama needs, hope he doesn’t realize it but Clinton is taking the right tact at this point. He is smart.
I know he is awful but he understands and knows you cannot paint millions of people as crazies. He gets it.
...Which is precisely why Bill is courting the "tea partiers". The Clintons need to slice off some of them.
“The TEA Party needs to be on the look out for new members who want to lead.”
Agreed.
>>>I know he is awful but he understands and knows you cannot paint millions of people as crazies.
To their faces, anyway.
Who hae you seen be able to win improbable races as she’s done and lead and change the national debate as she has? Been nearly as good with social media? Yeah, as I thought—no one else.
He’s reading the tea leaves for Hillary’s run in 2012, just in time for her to reinvent herself yet one more time!
--------------------------------
He should just ZIP it up... and go away... and take that Alinskyite wife with you.
If Hijab Clinton does make a run for the 2012 race, I hope voters will always remember that it is Hijab Clinton who went before the UN and gave a 'human rights violations' report to those miscreants regarding Arizona. And don't forget the health care takeover she tried and failed at.
Next thing you’ll hear is Hilary yelling “I feel your pain!” with a fake Southern accent. FUBC and please wash that crooked finger you’ve been pointing at me for 20 years!
Exactly, the only way I can figure that you can be a moderate is if you really believe in the dem platform. Just go be a dem and leave the real heavy lifting to the tea party.
Au Contraire. Clinton is well aware that the best thing that could have happened to him was the election of the republican majority at his mid term.
The 2012 Prez election is 2 years away ...Was Obama a household name 2 years before the 2008 election ? Palin’s trying hard to be part of that old boy network . She is living on the establishment plantation and politically correct enough for the elites. They are only trying to give us the semblance of a choice in portraying her as the nemesis of big government. She’s just another super ambitious political hack doing whatever she needs to to get ahead. Kissinger vetted her , no ?
I can hardly express how off I believe you are with that analysis. Yes, she’s positioning herself—and her base—comfortably within the GOP, but the establishment could hardly be more against her and she’s nothing of a hack.
>> ...Clinton realizes that the TEA Party is We the People.
>Absolutely.
>So why do so many on FR worry about how we look to other people.
The reason many on FR are like this is that they are trolls lurking and looking for tidbits to use against us.
Indeed he is. Obama should listen to him but won't.
