RUSH: Talking about losing the language. Now we're losing the language that they gave us! The director of the White House Office of Science, John Holdren, says global warming, is "a dangerous misnomer." We need to replace it with "global climate disruption." That means global warming ain't selling anymore.

The White House wants the public to start using the term "global climate disruption" in place of "global warming" This way, whichever way it goes, we're covered.
The thing of it is, there are trillions to be made unto perpetuity if they can drive this carbon offset gig home. They aren't going to let all that money be hostage to the weather. Hotter? Colder? Who knows? But there are always "disruptions", they come every year, its the one thing you can always depend on.
If you can convince people you are the solution to the weather, the possibilities are endless. Just keep inventing new boogy-men and keep selling those offsets as fast as your laser-printer can churn them out. Keep plenty of ink on hand so you never run out.

A “disruption” isn't a strong enough word. A rain storm is a disruption if you are playing some kind of sports, a light mist is a disruption if you are having a garden party.
A strong wind is a disruption if you are doing anything other than flying kites.

Imagine that, people actually expected global warming to warm the planet. Since that hasn’t happened they need a more ambiguous label that is harder to see through. Warming can be measured, but how the heck do you measure “disruption”?
