Exclusive- Karl Rove Tried To Cut Deal For Castle With Tea Party
Freedomist ^ | 9/14/10 | Bill & Paul Collier

Posted on 09/15/2010 4:17:36 AM PDT by jimbo123

Sources at the Christine O’Donnell victory party revealed to The Freedomist that in December of last year Karl Rove met with Tea Party leaders in Dover, Delaware trying to get them to cut a “deal” in which they would leave Mike Castle alone and NOT support O’Donnell.

The Freedomist has also learned that Rove was allegedly acting as an operative, although in what capacity it is not known, even as he is playing the role of a political analyst on Fox New in a fair and balanced way.

"I think they’re like pro wrestlers: “You win at the match at Springfield tonight, but next Tuesday at Columbus, I get to win”. There’s no other way to explain candidates like Dukakis and McCain."

Don't forget Bob Dole. I am so sick of these "it's their turn" Presidential campaigns.

Ping-a-ling

Maybe this is one of the reasons Rove was being such a jerk on Hannity last night???

This says tons about where the Bush admin had us directed.

FReeRepublic has been letting me down and not providing me with the amount of entertainment I desire. Thus, I must say:

You hate America First and probably want to have homosexual relations with Osama bin Laden and his goat!

Rove has been a cancer on the GOP for some time now. He needs to be radiated.

Karl Rove was dead to me when he sat on his a$$ while W was being attacked for 8 years.

Exactly. His “new tone” politics was as stupid a political strategy as I’ve ever seen. Bush’s popularity fell through the floor because of Rove’s mistaken idea that everyone will love and respect W if they let ridiculous attacks go unanswered. We can thank Rove for Zero and his huge democrat majorities. Rove can go to h*ell as far as I’m concerned.

"Remove the emotion from the discussion, politics is a science and the numbers were there for Castle but not O’Donnell. It will get closer, but the best chance they had to get the symbolic Biden seat was with Castle. Not saying that O’Donnell can’t win, just that the stats, numbers and trends are not in her favor. These people play the numbers game for a living and the numbers can’t lie."

If that was what Karl Rove kept it to - a discussion of the numbers - that would have been fine. But he didn't. He went on the attack personally and viciously. He lost me with this one.

“Remove the emotion from the discussion...”

Thanks for your comments. The Tea-Party has the ball, time to run with it.

Good Tea Party moves -
- Marco Rubio, excellent candidate
- Joe Miller, excellent candidate
- Mike Lee - in Utah we should run the most conservative person we can find period.

Risky Tea Party moves
- Sharron Angle - was at a fundraiser she did in NYC, she was underwhelming to say the least
- Christine O’Donnell...

The Tea Party’s future hangs in the balance of the Nevada and Delaware elections.

Just left him a note expressing my disappointment to learn he is a “ruling class republican” with obvious contempt for ordinary americans and who has no principles except raw power.

After I submitted there was a pop up ad for his book. Hmm don’t think so Karl.

Numbers may not lie, but numbers do change and with a little concerted effort
her numbers will change for the better! We are dealing in points in time.

You're obviously satisfied with the direction this country is headed and apparently blinded by your trust in the FedGov and it's propaganda.

Feel that burn in your backside? It's creeping Progressivism.

Maybe you missed the whole “sarcasm” aspect of my comments. But, I know they were close to what a lot of people say in all seriousness around here, so thinking I meant it is understandable.

I’m just lamenting the lack of people who bleat “R goooood, D baaaaaaaad” and if you disagree screech “You hate America!” or “you disagree with me, you must be a commie!” these days.

They were amusing robots.

Ok, I don’t know much about Christine O’Donnell. What is it that makes the Republican establishment so concerned about her honesty and character?

The grand OLD establishment fears that they are losing control.

They keep getting by-passed in the primaries, except for McCain.

If enough Tea Party types get into office, and Ryan, et al, are roadmapping a new direction, the grand OLD elite know their days are numbered and their power might soon be only a memory.

I agree. Time for the RNC to practice what’s it’s been preaching for the past 20 months. We need to drag them, kicking and screaming to a majority.

After I read back through the comments, what you said made me scratch mah head. Yeah, I definitely (yet temporarily) missed the sarcasm. LOL!

Karl really showed his RINO a** last night.

I read in one of the LIVE thread that Dana Perino was also showing her 'moderate' side.

These are Bush people. The whole bunch of them are 'moderates' who would sell out the conservatives at every chance.

The thing to keep in mind is that Rove, despite being an astute political mind, is a paid political consultant. This means that he is always going to lean toward the establishment, because that is where most of the money is and because that is where he has always done business.
