My tech isn’t high enough to know what C-band is. But I’m curious.

C-Band dishes are 10 to 15 feet in diamter, they're called BUD's by the geeks in the C-Band industry.  BUD stands for "Big Ugly Dish" because those who have them in their backyard get chided by their neighbors that it's a "big ugly dish".  C-Band has been around since the 1970's.  Cable companies still use those dishes (albeit much larger).  Satellite companies like Dish and DirecTV use them to pull down signals before uplinking them to their customers on their own satellites.

Many cable companies like Time-Warner and Comcast (who own media properties of their own) are beginning to use fiber optic cabling to deliver content that they own. Since Comcast is a major stakeholder in The Right Network, they will control the cost and delivery mechanism for this channel, so there may be a possibility it won't be available to C-Band dish owners.
