Imagining Islam

If only the fantasy were true: If only there actually were a dominant, pro-American, echt moderate Islam, an ideology so dedicated to human rights, so sternly set against savagery, that acts of terrorism were, by definition, “un-Islamic activity.” Imagine an Islam that, far from a liability, proved an asset (indeed, an indispensable asset) in combating the threat against us. Imagine that we could accurately call the threat mere “extremism” — no “Islamic” (or even “Islamist”) modifier being necessary because the “extremists” truly were a tiny, aberrant band, fraudulently “hijacking” a great religion.

If the fantasy were true, who among us would not be proud to mark the annual observance of September 11 by breaking ground on a $100 million Islamic center cum mosque at the site of the most horrific attack in American history? In the nine years since the atrocities that claimed the lives of nearly 3,000 Americans at the Twin Towers, the Pentagon, and a field in Shanksville, Pa., such an Islam — if it really existed — would have spearheaded the defeat of America’s enemies.

I won’t forget it either,
I was staying in a motel at WTC last night and the news came on about a muslim lady calling the cordone Islamic center founders begging them to not go ahead with this. she said, my children, myself and my whole family feel like we have rifle targets on us, please move the mosque..

We the people are pissed off, if the Islam existed as in this article he is right, we would open our hearts to them,we are a decent people, but it does not and even though many muslim people do not see this dark side as strongly in American Islamic communities, they in their hearts know its real, Islam is something to repent of, true Islam is not a religion but a form of slavery..
I could only get within a block of wtc ceremonies, as the security was rerouting people one way then another.. I walked to where the Mosque is supposed to be built and no one was allowed to go down that street, several veterans standing there said, soon only muslims will be allowed around the area, truly folks are massively po’d, Although I feel sorry for the decent muslims who are caught in their so called “religions” play to destroy all things western for a dog pile dictatorship, it makes it obvious we are reaching a point of total incompatibility. It appears the best our government can come up with is accept them in America even though we know they will be killing us whenever they can, but we should not retaliate farther than treating them as criminals for each incident even if becomes commonplace..
I think most Americans are tired of that approach in the name of religious freedoms, how many must die first to awaken our torn and battered government spending more energy on our enemies than protecting Americans and our rights..I think the time will come where if you are Islamic, just sell your stuff and go back to your hellholes governed by Sharia law, it is against our constitution, if you want to become an American, OK, cast down the bs and move on with life, we should not allow anymore Islamist in the western countries..
Not hate filled, just tired of seeing good folks dead because we are supposed to be blind to their hatred and walk around them like ostrich at a water hole hoping the lions are not hungry..

There is a deliberate effort going on to revise the words and actions of America's Founders as it relates to this subject.

Every American who seeks truth on the subject should read this thread posted yesterday on FreeRepublic which outlines some facts and fallacies associated with this revisionist history. Beginning with that thread, and then doing one's own research, one can "try" the claims of those who attempt to impose a certain "moral equilavency" between the ideas of individual liberty derived from Judeo-Christian sources and those derived from other sources.

Taken out of context and without quoting the statements of Jefferson, the Adamses (John and John Quincy), and Franklin in their entirety, there are those who will misuse the events of today to promote an agenda of their own.

Thanks to technology, the Founders' own writings, when read in their entirety, dispute their claims.
