1st? Go Jr!
I need to go play Lotto tonight. Great post and am ready for next weeks race.
Yes you’re first - way to go :)
Unfortunately Jr can’t go until they figure out what’s up at HMS :( He’s been trying to race for two years now, to no avail - sadly. Hendrick just told everyone he will not change anything on the 88 for next year either. Thanks a bunch! ;p
WooooHooooo! AIr Guard 400 @ Richmond under the lights!
WCG- its wishful thinking. These “young guns” are smoking hot. Competition is hell lately.
PING to RIR thread - had to put it up as not sure about the weather coming in.

OOPS sorry for double ping - I got a proxy error the first time.
Beautiful and touching 9-11 tribute, WCG.
God Bless our troops and prayers for all those who have given their lives on behalf of our freedom.
Just going to be damp, don't worry.
Well, maybe a little.
Amen.
Thanks!
Excellent!
(as always)

'In the first place, we should insist that if the immigrant who comes here in good faith becomes a Canadian and assimilates himself to us, he shall be treated on an exact equality with everyone else, for it is an outrage to discriminate against any such man because of creed, or birthplace, or origin. But this is predicated upon the person's becoming in every facet a Canadian, and nothing but a Canadian...There can be no divided allegiance here. Any man who says he is a Canadian, but something else also, isn't a Canadian at all. We have room for but one flag, the Canadian flag... We have room for but one language here, and that is the English language.. And we have room for but one sole loyalty and that is a loyalty to the Canadian people.' Wilfrid Laurier 1907
Well I guess you showed those male chauvinist how to embellish a Racin Thread properly. Way to go Gal...
Raining, almost no wind at the moment.
Why no I don't Vox, the only post I see from you is at #11 but it probably has something to do with the time zone you live in?
No, this one!
#10
oooohh
Thanks everyone - appreciate the nice comments :)
It was too big to fail...
Richmond. Last chance for the chase. Little E is out. Jamie or Mark might have a long shot at the chase , at best. But only if Boyer crashes out early.
Is it still just a ‘little; rain? It’s almost here and looks like a LOT.

Ditches are full this morning, but only over the road in one spot between the office and the house.
One limb, one gate, power on and off last night.
Just another Monday night in Texas?
Pretty much TB.
Track was supposed to follow the river, but they eye is running right up the middle of the state.
It’s aiming at son and WCG.
I wish Jr and Rooti would have done better, oh well.
Then top that off with the Boise St / VT football game last night - wow! What a game!
Great weekend...hope ya don't get too wet down there.
I actually got rained on this morning coming to work - don't remember that in the forcast - ?
Predictions here call for 1/4” of rain tonight and tomorrow. Should we evacuate now or wait until the booze is gone?
Neither, stock up before it gets there!
Preparation is the key.
For some reason we measure our annual rainfall from July 1st to June 31st and this year we have received just 29%. Our normal for this period is .68” and we have had .19” to date...
We had that much while I was at lunch.
And I thought it was going to be done by now. No longer is the sky clearing, It’s building up like there’s another one coming.
You need to be sitting down for this one ST. I caught Wife reading the owners manual for her 3 month old Buick a minute ago and I asked why. She said it may rain and she needed to know how to run the windshield wipers. True story...
Well that far better than first time I drove a truck that didn’t have them on the dash. 60-70 mph, loaded truck, pulling a trailer and it started to rain. Almost had to stop until I found them by accident.
For a few minutes there I was thinking that it must not rain very often in Japan.
That one’s true too. :)
Whoa, what awesome graphics to start the thread.
Just this week an article in the NE bemoaned the fact that Americans dwell on 9-11 too much. I say we don’t dwell on it enough; we are at war and our mindset should be as such...
Anyway, looking forward to a great Saturday night race on “Patriot Day”.
That storm was a bugger - stayed in TS status all the way up here which is a record according to Cantore. tore down my porch stuff and battered the yard - but the electricity stayed on :) and that’s a good thing!
Those bozos would only hope we forget 9-11 - unfortunately many have. I will never forget.
Far too many Americans view the events of 9/11/01 as little more than a TV show. Obviously the author of that article did not have to live with the smell from the WTC for a month afterward.

Tubebender, lemme know when you finish this article, please. I’ve got a few questions on this matter for ya.
I’m sure if a mosque is built near the 9-11 site and a call to prayer is heard 3 times a day (the most beautiful sound in the world says “one”) w/a few kumbayas thrown in for good measure all will be well. /s/
Not going to ruin a great thread started by WCG...forecast for Saturday at Richmond is sunny w/83 as a high. Mulling drivers but w/o luck a stellar score is impossible. Rainy on the high desert this morning w/the pungent smell of Juniper in the air. Project today is to repair damage caused by a sage rat that got under the house. Nasty critters..cats are never around when you need one.
... at least I made the top 100!
Every time I get my truck back from Toyota service, I add five pounds to each tar, otherwise, comma, invariably one of five of the low tar pressure alarms trigger when it rains, and I, for one, don’t like pulling off the side of the freeway at 0400 in the rain to flashlight the tars. Happens about once a year unless I’m diligent.
I found a lever that lets the steering wheel telescope closer to you last week. My elbows thank me.
Wow. Great thread, Gal. I’d feel bad, but as mom said, I can always be useful as a bad example :o)
Actually, I’m just lazy.
I declare a fair funkle.
Not sure if I’m supposed to whistle, fart and/or make faces in your general direction.
I’ll let my attorney, the (less then) honorable, Mr. T.B., Esquire, handle all the legal documents, noises and other hoo-yahs necessary to fight your funkle as I’ve got another rat to take care after I don my asbestos mask and coveralls.
You got mail
