EDITORIAL: Dead in Ohio, but still voting--Justice Department lets fraud spread, state by state
The Washington Times ^ | September 2, 2010 | Editorial

The liberal obsession with using election law to promote racial grievance-mongering rather than to protect against voter fraud continues apace. The worst case in point this week is the effort of Ohio Secretary of State Jennifer Brunner, a highly partisan Democrat who's forcing Cuyahoga County to waste half a million dollars on unnecessary bilingual ballots while she fails to remove 5,800 dead people from the Buckeye State's voter rolls.

The Justice Department has been pressuring Cuyahoga's election board to provide bilingual ballots for all of its nearly 1 million registered voters in order to accommodate about 6,000 people covered by a special Voting Rights Act provision meant to help those educated in Puerto Rico's Spanish-language schools. On Wednesday, the four-member board split on whether to kowtow to Justice's demands, but Ms. Brunner cast a tie-breaking vote in favor of the feds' position.

Ms. Brunner's priorities are misplaced. "Nearly 5,800 Ohioans who've died are still registered to vote, and ballots may have been cast in the names of at least 16 Ohioans after their deaths," according to press reports. This isn't surprising because in 2008 Ms. Brunner fought attempts to ensure ballot integrity, particularly against measures to verify authenticity of people registering and voting on the same day.

We The People have to become so vocal that this outrage becomes known throughout the populace. Are there lawyers willing to help save their country from this corrupt hacks?

Correct me if I’m wrong, but isn’t one of the criteria of citizenship to be able to read and write in ENGLISH?

I’m sick of ballots being printed in 7 languages.

Approx. 70% of voters support voter ID. We the People are well aware - and unfortunately, vocal will get us about as far as it did on Healthcare.

Then we get the masses to the ballot box and then ask if they can hear us now.

Amen and like I've said before, even if some aren't proficient in English they should study who and what they want to vote for before going to the precinct to vote, just like most of us do.

>> she fails to remove 5,800 dead people from the Buckeye State’s voter rolls. <<

Why would she want to remove the dead people? Dead people, union workers, Acorn people, pets, and illegals are what make up the Dem’s voter base...

If the polls lose their validity then the only option will be for factions to “vote” with force of arms. They are playing with something extraordinarily dangerous here.

If the Dems hold on to the House in November, we’ll know that the voting process has been totally prostituted.

Our choices at that point are to lay down and take it or revolt.

They would love nothing better. I think they are deliberately trying to provoke just such an action. It would give them justification for their next steps.

Any rebellion would be ruthlessly and completely crushed.

We must take the reins of power the same way they did. With stealth, over time. The advantage we have is that we have logic and rational thought on our side. All they have is emotionalism and childishness.

Thank you for the post. Great article. I found this exerpt particularly interesting:

The Democracy Alliance aspires to create a permanent political infrastructure of nonprofits, think tanks, media outlets, leadership schools, and activist groups — a kind of “vast left-wing conspiracy” to compete with the conservative movement. It has brokered more than $100 million in grants to liberal nonprofits, including ACORN.

This is how we fight back. We need to cut funding to ALL of these groups (after Jan 2011). It can be because of a “National Emergency” I think they could wrap their arms around that!

"Any rebellion would be ruthlessly and completely crushed"

ONLY if the military shrugs off the Usurper-in-Chief's ineligibility, and follows his illegal orders....without a CIC who's LEGALLY ELIGIBLE TO ORDER dinner, but has no Constitutional qualifications to be occupying his residence currently.

A military that would disregard orders from an illegal CIC would NOT be derelict in their duty. Firing on fellow citizens would push the military to a new frontier, and I don't believe they would go there, IMHO.

Go ahead, Ms. Brunner, and mess with the ballot box. Just remember, once it becomes useless our only alternative will be to turn to the cartridge box. Is you ready fo dat?
