I guess China is tollerant as well as they allow churches to be built and Bibles to be printed, and Saudi Arabia is tollerant as foriegners can worship freely in the privacy of their home.

Iran recognizes Judaism as an allowed religion in their country, so it doesn’t surprise me that Hezbollah is tolerant of a Synagogue being restored.
But that is a red herring on this matter. Hezbollah will still seek for Islam to be the Master of all people on earth, willingly or unwillingly.
The building of a Mosque on a site of victory is well understood throughout the Islamic world. Building one on Ground Zero is a clear declaration of victory in the mind of Muslims everywhere.

Saudi Arabia isn't a tolerant country. Where is a single house/temple of worship that is not muslim there? They are prohibited by law and there is death sentence for non-muslims who'd dare enter the segregated cities of Mecca and Medina.
Tolerance in a religion should be found also in the capital of that religion.

Lebanon was the only predominantly Christian nation in the Middle East...which played no small part in it being the only successful one, and therefore in the eyes of Muslims the object of hate and HAD to be destroyed.
It's juxtaposition to Israel also made it the perfect launching pad for missiles into Israel, which began as soon as Hezbollah over-ran the once-idyllic nation.
Yeah, occupation by the Jewish community is bad, but only to Hezbollah because it involves the Muslims not being the ruling political class in that country. Because Israel does not run some religious tax on non-Muslims, because Israel tolerates people of Christian, Muslim, and Jewish faiths.
