How To Lose A Guy In 75 Days (Bush 6 points more popular than Obum in dem districts)
Hotlineoncall/Nationaljournal.com ^

Posted on 08/22/2010 3:41:52 PM PDT by fabrizio

Two years after his coattails helped sweep two dozen Democrats into office, President Obama is proving more a boon to Republicans than to Democrats during the midterm elections. His poll numbers are so morose that Democrats are planning ways to avoid his shadow, while Republicans plot strategies aimed at tying Obama to every incumbent member of Congress they can. The advice from Democratic consultants and strategists is almost unanimous: Run away from the president, and fast. A prominent Democratic pollster is circulating a survey that shows George W. Bush is 6 points more popular than President Obama in "Frontline" districts -- seats held by Democrats that the Democratic Congressional Campaign Committee sees as most vulnerable to Republican takeover. That Bush is more popular than Obama in Democratic-held seats is cause for outright fear.

I don't know about this poll, but they are obviously panicking big time. And it's so good to see Dubya vindicated more and more with each passing day

I never tire of seeing that Miss Me Yet? graphic. It belongs on every Obama-related thread.

It ALWAYS makes me smile!

(I know, I could post it on the wall above my computer, but that wouldn’t be the same thing. It’s the “popping up inside a thread” that’s so satisfying. Thanks!)

On Martha’s Vineyard:

“Last year, Obama gave you goose bumps, but I don’t think you’re going to see that this year,’’ said Alex McCluskey, co-owner of the Locker Room, who sold more than 4,000 “I vacationed with Obama’’ T-shirts last year. But so far this year, he said, his hot item is T-shirts of former President Bush asking, “Miss me yet?’’

>> It’s the “popping up inside a thread” that’s so satisfying.

It would be even more satisfying if it started popping up on billboards along major highways in blue states.

And of course, every time it pops up on a billboard, it pops up in the evening snooze programs. They just can’t help themselves!

During the Democratic National Convention, I seem to recall the future First Lady ridiculing the Republicans for keeping Bush out of the spotlight for fear of hurting McCain. How the tables have turned.

Don’t know if it’s true, but saw a post at Facebook that a t-shirt with that photo/comment is the big seller on Martha’s Vineyard this week. Especially funny if true, given the MV folks’ proclivity for liberal politics.

I would enjoy watching the Obama Hindenburg burn and crash a lot more if all of the “waived or created” disasters Obama has his ice cream stained fingers on weren’t so dire...economy, taxes, Iran, North Korea, advocacy of socialism, Supreme Court...

I have to agree with you. I love it too.

BUT...you know there would be a but...

Wouldn’t it be fun or great to come up with one that represented the future?

More like,

“What would Sarah do?”

“What would ______________do?”

“Regret it yet?” Not a picture of Obama, but a picture of the other choices not made, with a shadow of 0bama overlayed?

Heck make it a series.

But to change the tone to moving forward. A tone that we’re not going to blame them, but we’re the ones moving beyond the empty promises of Hope & Change.

So anybody can snag the idea and run with it.

Even Jeffrey Dahmer would be 6 points more popular than Ohaha in Dem districts. One reason---AMONG MANY---is the people surrrounding Ohaha, making decisions that affect Americans. People like SEIU/ACORN's man in the Obama White House, PATRICK GASPARD.

Longtime SEIU/ACORN operative Patrick Gaspard. holds the title of White House political affairs director, the same title Karl Rove held in President Bush's White House. He's the President’s fixer and the man who gets govt money for ACORN. Gaspard once worked for ACORN CEO Bertha Lewis.

Patrick Gaspard’s brother Michael Gaspard works for The Advance Group. Michael Gaspard works for ACORN’s registered lobbying organization and with ACORN’s national spokesman Bertha Lewis. Michael apparently keeps a lower profile. He does not appear on lobbyist disclosures for The Advance Group NY State. Nonetheless, he works there. Ms. Lewis’s contacts list confirms Michael Gaspard’s employment there.

====================================

AND THEN THERE'S RAHM EMANUEL Rahm's entree into the top echelons of govt are paved with his past victories: 4-term Congressman Rahm was beatified as the man who masterminded the Congress and WH takeovers with David Axelrod.

Rahm ran a political action committee laughingly called "Our Common Values PAC."

RAHM BACKSTORY Emanuel was Clinton's henchman (while employed by Goldman Sachs), a 4 term-Congressman, and a notorious Fannie Mae looter. In 2005 he chaired the Democratic Congressional Campaign Committee 2006-07. Rahm had Dems winning in solid Republican districts running as "true believers." Rahm and Axelrod had Maoist mau mau Ohaha himself win by deceiving voters, saying things like, "I want to be another Reagan."

Rahm's first moves as COS : (a) takeover of US Treasury activities including the $14 trillion bailout, (b) putting his brother in charge of Medicare/Aid billions not including billions from OhahaCare, and (c) takover of the census.

Let's keep in mind----COS Rahm Emanuel took control of the US Treasury when he crept into our WH. "Professor" Obama knows nothing about high finance----but Rahm toiled on Wall Street before creeping into the executive branch.

Wall Streeters can make money disappear faster than a cream puff at a Weight Watchers weigh-in.

======================================

THINGS WE DO NOT KNOW ABOUT RAHM EMANUEL Did Rahm reveal all of his ties to financial institutions involved in Obama's trillion dollar federal bailout of financials? Read on.

Goldman Sachs Will Be Sitting Pretty With Emanuel in the Obama White House
By Timothy P. Carney, Examiner Columnist, Nov 21, 2008

EXCERPT Today, in these tumultuous times of bailouts and meltdowns when the investment banking leviathan needs Washington more than ever before, Goldman Sachs can leverage its most valuable asset yet White House chief of staff Rahm Emanuel.

Traditionally a Democratic booster, and one of Barack Obama’s top sources of funds in this past election, Goldman has always had particularly strong allies in government.

Rahm Emanuel is one such ally. An interesting early chapter in the Goldman-Emanuel relationship took place in the setting of Bill Clinton’s 1992 campaign for the White House. Clinton hired Emanuel as his chief fundraiser. At the same time, however, Emanuel was on the payroll of Goldman Sachs, receiving $3,000 per month from the firm to “introduce us to people,” in the words of one Goldman partner at the time. This is certainly a noteworthy relationship, but it’s one that has almost entirely escaped scrutiny. (snip)

In his four terms in Congress, Emanuel raised $74,750 from Goldman, making the firm his number four source of funds. Goldman has helped Emanuel. How has Emanuel helped Goldman? The most obvious answer, as mentioned in this column two weeks ago, is in Emanuel’s lead role in shepherding the “$700 billion” bailout—first proposed by former a Goldman CEO, Bush Treasury Secretary Henry Paulson—through the skeptical House.

Of course, back in the Clinton days, Goldman benefited from NAFTA and the bailout of the Mexican currency, with Emanuel pushing NAFTA through Congress, and Rubin hammering out the peso bailout.

Did Goldman improperly funnel money to the Clinton campaign by subsidizing Emanuel’s salary in 1992? Did Goldman’s help to Clinton spur the Democratic president to push NAFTA and the Mexican bailout?

The answers to these questions are opaque, and with Emanuel burrowed deep within the Obama White House, the continued relationship between Goldman Sachs and Obama’s right hand man won’t be easy to follow.

Watch which regulations of Wall Street Obama fights for. Watch where the bailout money goes.

“And it’s so good to see Dubya vindicated more and more with each passing day”

The George W. Bush that advocated comprehensive immigration reform aka. amnesty, that approved the GM bailout, Chrysler bailout, banks and brokers bailouts, TARP, that said “islam is a religion of peace,” and increased the annual deficit to the end without mentioning it as a problem or policy concern?

He opened the door for Obama. Obviously Obama intends to go further than GWB, but it along much the same trail.

I look at it this way,

With Bush, I was pissed off 60% of the time.

With Obama, I’m pissed off 100% of the time.

And right now, that 60% is looking pretty good.
