There are some people though who do not feel a person should be allowed to fund their own campaigns though.
Yes and most of the country doesn't know. Yet. Hopefully it will never know.
Because of the la-de-la Country club Republicans who will pay off leftists to leave them alone in their little enclaves (not all the enclaves are country clubs either, there are middle class country club Republicans here);because of the social services complexes in Hartford, Bridgeport, New Haven and other cities; because of Yale, Wesleyan, Fairfield, Trinity and UConn, we aren't going to send a DeMint or Bachmann to Congress from Connecticut.
But we can warn the country of what is coming. We can warn those who think everyone up here is alike not to make such a sweeping generalizations because it will come back to bite them hard should McMahon not defeat this creature:
Competitive Enterprise Institute on the worst Attorney Generals in the United States:
Based on a set of explicit criteriasuch as encroachment on the powers of other branches of government, meddling in the affairs of other states or federal agencies, encouragement of judicial activism and frivolous lawsuits, favoritism towards campaign contributors, ethical breaches, and failure to provide representation to state agencies or to provide legal advicethe following state attorneys general have earned the dishonor of being the nations Top Ten Worst:Like most on FR, there have been years when I either had to force myself to vote or said the heck with it because the candidate was a sorry excuse for a Republican. With Blumenthal, I've mulled over who could run against him that would make me not vote or not be eager to vote. Can't think of any. He is, as you know InternetTuffGuy, that bad.1. Richard Blumenthal, Connecticut . . . full report
It is his MO. He elevates contractual business disputes into crimes, freezes the assets of those he charges so they have trouble defending themselves, then runs to TV to gloat about how he is protecting residents of the Nutmeg state. Gina Malapanis had sold thousands of computers to the state when Blumenthal charged her with first degree larcency for selling 44 machines which did not work properly. She spent 6 years fighting Blumenthal. A jury finally awarded her $18 million for malicious prosecution. But Blumenthal did stop. He appealed and one of our great judges in CT reduced the damages to $1.8 million. And he is still tying her up in court. He wants the damages reduced more.
There have been other cases as well. In one he sued a woman who sold tea out of her home because customers signed a contract allowing automatic billing of future purchases.
Meanwhile. M13 and other gangs are roaming around New Haven and other cities here. He has little interest in them.
Such conduct would make great ammo for negative television ads, wouldn’t it?
Yes. The contrast is stark. Go after women who own small businesses, let illegal alien gangs run amok. For once, I’m confident the Republican candidate will know how to run an effective campaign. McMahon won’t be winging it.
