Daily Kos Holocaust Denial: 9/11 Attacks 'Were More About Optics Than Actual Harm'
Newsbusters, ^ | 8/12/10 | Tim Graham

While the Ground Zero Mosque controversy strikes the media as an opportunity for "healing" that's being denied by stubborn conservatives, the leftists at the Daily Kos see it as an opportunity for Holocaust Denial. The blogger known as "Something the Dog Said" dropped this jaw-dropping paragraph Thursday morning about fear of Muslims:

Given that they are such a small minority in this nation, it is odd that so many of our fellow citizens see them as such a threat. Yes, the 9/11 attacks were horrific, but they were more about optics than actual harm. The economy was already taking a hit before the Twin Towers fell. The reaction of the nation to seeing two major buildings in New York fall on T.V. has boosted the attack out of proportion. While the loss of even a single life is to be condemned and the devastation these deaths caused the families of those killed, more than this number of teens are killed every year in car crashes. These are also tragic losses but we do not make the kind of high profile issue of it that the 9/11 attacks are.

For liberals, 9-11 was enthralling.

I'd love to meet "Something The Dog Said" in person.

And just so there is no misunderstanding later, anything I do during that meeting is intended more for the optics than any actual harm.

So how about executing as many communists per year as the number of people who die in car crashes in that period? Would that be no big deal then?

“Yes, the 9/11 attacks were horrific, but they were more about optics than actual harm.”

Two things bother me here. First, the absolute minimization of 3,000 lives lost when we all know the author is shilling for Saudi money. The other is the use of the word “optics”. Optics has a real meaning, but it is now a new “progressive” buzzword to distance the obvious odiousness of a thing or occurence and to annoint the speaker with special insight. I find this author’s statement repugnent. Imagine if I were to say: “Yes the holocaust was horrific, but it was more about optics than actual harm.” See what I mean. Dispicable.

Liberalism is a mental disease....proof abounds in the confines of the place of liberal idiocy known as the Daily Kos...on a daily basis... =.=

So this brain dead animal on DailyKos finds equality between the thousands of deaths and billions in destruction caused intentionally, deliberately by a handful of people and accidents that no one set out to produce; as if mere body counts, and not motives are the substance of such tragedies.

What’s the flipping deal with the word “optics” being used everywhere? Was it Rush that pointed this out a couple days ago? Good Grief

At least six million babies have been aborted in this country since the liberals got their “freedom of choice” enacted, so why are we still upset at Hitler for the same number of murdered Jews?

Leftist logic in action.

The other is the use of the word “optics”.

Just like the idiot liberals use of the word "gravitas" during one of the previous presidential elections.

The use of new terms and words must come directly from the Democratic Party faxes and e-mails because, out of the blue, the term or word is used on the same day by every liberal propoganda outlet and talking head.

Liberals are not smart enough, en mass or otherwise, to start using new words and terms.

This kind of double speak is proof they are all using Democratic talking points.

Someone needs to tell this knucklehead that it was on the same scale as Pearl Harbor. However, one could argue that 9/11 was actually worse morally, since the military (all volunteer at that time) were in a profession of high risk by choice.

Unlike the finance business people in the WTC.

“These are also tragic losses but we do not make the kind of high profile issue of it that the 9/11 attacks are.”

Someone could say the same about all wars, Hiroshima, whatever.

But they don’t, because they would be COMPLETELY missing the point.

But that’s leftards for ya.
