VANCOUVER -- RCMP are warning the public to be on the lookout for U.S. fugitives John McCluskey and Casslyn Welch.

These individuals are wanted by U.S. authorities after escaping from an Arizona prison on July 30. They may also be involved in a homicide, police warn.

Law enforcement on both sides of the border are on high alert.

While there is no information to confirm these fugitives have entered Canada, their whereabouts are unknown and police fear they may have crossed the border undetected.

Vigilantes? I'm not familiar with that usages of the word.

“You keep using that word. I do not think it means what you think it means.”

Odd I haven’t either. I had to check the source headline to see if you put it in correctly.

How are they Vigilantes? perhaps the writer got this story mixed up with a tea party story.

Smart criminals. Now they won’t get the death penalty.

Thankfully, we could never expect Al Qaeda to pass through our borders undetected.

Bizarre. I can’t even think what word they might have meant. I certainly wouldn’t consider a couple of murderers to be “vigilantes” by any stretch.

Maybe the US needs more vigilantes.
I'm sure the media would term it 'vigilantism' if a group of people were to, say, tar-and-feather their politician and ride him out of town 'on a rail.'

“Vigilantes? I’m not familiar with that usages of the word.”

I presume they are referring to people who are seeking to collect the $100,000 bounty on the two of them.

No, no, of course not. Our northern borders are only penetrable by escaped convicts and their cousin girlfriends. As long as no AQ members fit that profile, we’re safe.

Has the bounty been increased? Last I heard it was $40,000.

I understood the bounty to be $50K for each one, so $100K.

Probably. The word does have a “v” in it, after all!
