Yes, decorating is a core competance for that demographic.
We need to take back the Senate and pass an ENGLISH ONLY law.
We just bought a new faucet for the kitchen from Loews. It may depend on the area because I don't remember seeing Spanish signs. Anyway it was a Moen faucet with the stupid goose neck. We installed and I swear, I can PEE faster than it allows water to come through. Unfortunately you can't get to the water regulator.
The previous faucet we got rid of the regulator - drilled it out because you could get to the casing. It looks great but stinks with a drizzle for water. This is from the Clinton era of regulating our water. It's all part of the green farce.
Sure buy a Moen faucet for r"life" but don't expect to be thrilled with it. Later I find out Moen is one of the WORST for precisely this kind of thing. I HATE MOEN faucets. Sure they look great but stink when it comes to being FUNCTIONAL.
"You know, I didn't realize that working at Lowe's would have dual benefits . . .not only do I have another paycheck, but I am also learning Spanish!!!"
Every single thing in Lowe's is bilingual. I find it kind of funny, since my store has more Asians, Indians and Muslims than Hispanics.
Agreed. When going to those kind of stores, I only go to Lowes. I had to go to Home Depot one time last summer because a friend gave me a gift certificate for that store. The service stunk, the store was a wreck and when I went to check out, the cashier was on her cell phone talking to her daughter. I waited like a good little boy until she got off the phone. When she said “Hi”, I said goodbye and told her to try working for a living and went to another cashier.
I don’t know where Lowe’s stands on this issue but they have always been great when I go there. It would be best if they kept their mouth shut and just attend to business.
UP YOURS, Home Depot!
“It’s official! Children exposed to nudity at event supported by The Home Depot.
Posted on the Maine Pride Facebook page following the 2010 parade and festival:
“...the only disappointing thing was the group of women who decided to take their shirts off right by my kids, all under age 10 (and then didn’t seem to care when i said something to them about it)...”
bump
I’ve never had to push the English button at Lowe’s. Every one I’ve been in has had their machines default to English if you simply scan an item without picking a language.
RC2 — Cel phones are not even allowed on the floor, much less talking on one on your shift!
Excellent!
We’re looking for a new kitchen faucet and would appreciate recommendations. I hate it when the water just trickles out.
Whose do you recommend?

...kind of like the GM Volt... :-)
I mainly go to Lowe’s because the Home Depot stores seem dirtier and they seem to have less stock. However, I am sure we will find that Lowe’s will cater to the gay mafia eventually.
I prefer Jimmy Johnston to Tony Lagono anyway, or whoever else drives the Home Depot car these days.
Moen-Sounds like French Euro Fascists, so what can we expect.
We went through the same thing when we build our house 12 years ago. We had a plumber come in, and even he could not remove the GreenWeenie flow restictor without destroying the faucet.
At least with the Al IdiotCrookPerv Gore, 1/4 ounce per flush toilets, you can flush the damn things 3 or 4 times to get the job done. Not so with a faucet, where you want a copious, steady, generous flow of water and you want it now.
We have named the third flush on the low water volume toilets, the FUAG Flush.
this seems to be like Bud Light and the fetish parade in sanfrancisco.
Do what I do. When I get a shower or sink faucet of the Algore variety, I take my drill and bore out the plastic choke inside. My shower will put a hole in you.
Ditto here in the Carolinas. I switched to Lowe's years ago and - short of a few specific purchases that I couldn't find elsewhere - I've never gone back.
I can't ever find a dammed thing in the THD stores, for starters. What's the point of going there, if I need to wander around for an hour just to find one part, or another? And, invariably, they didn't have what I was looking for, or it was in the wrong size, or quantity. And God help me if I grab the wrong salesperson to ask where something is. I'd rather hear "Geez, I dunno. That's not my dept. You need to talk to Joe", rather than get led on a merry chase all around the store looking for one thing or another.
And actually, I've started hitting my local hw store more and more. Prices are maybe a little higher, but it saves me a long drive to the big box places. If I ask for help, the owner does the ordering, and more likely than not, the stocking too, so he knows if he has it, and where it is. And, I'll trade paying $2.50 for a $2 part, if it saves me (a potentially wasted) trip across town.....
