Thanks so much!

Such clean-cut, ordinary looking, but talented singers!

Many happy memorys of Singing Along With Mitch while driving the kids to school. We belted out our songs together every morning. That was ten years ago. They are all gifted and talented singers today. Thanks MITCH! RIP

Hey, if I make it to 99 years old, you can joke about my death all you want! People who make it to that ripe age should be thankful as not many can say the same.

At my age, it is rare to hear about living celebrities that were before my time but Mitch Miller is definitely one of them. I'm almost 50 years old and I have no idea who he was but obviously he was famous at one time. Must have been before 1970.

THANK YOU Mitch for all of your contributions and positive influences in our culture and society. Your music and influence will live on as people play your timeless tunes.

One of my favs is the Mitch Miller’s Christmas Album. His rendering of “The Christmas Song” was only second behind Nat King Cole’s.

Isn’t Mitch the guy who said Rock’n Roll would never last?

I recall seeing "Sing Along with Mitch" on TV when I was in kindergarten. That was 1960. A old B&W TV in Navy housing in Honolulu.

“Isn’t Mitch the guy who said Rock’n Roll would never last?”

If he was, he was right. Rock ‘n Roll died a long time ago, replaced by Discordant Crap.

We used to sing along with him. That was back when families watched TV together, ate sitting down at a dinner table and engaged in a lot of other abnormal behaviors.

Mitch Miller was also a successful studio musician. I believe that’s him playing the oboe solo on Frank Sinatra’s “It Was a Very Good Year.”

I don't want to appear to be the smart a**, but yep, things did occur before 1970. In this case, the 1950s, a glorious time to have lived, what with a country that was proud of itself and which had music that actually (ACTUALLY) had melodies. Imagine that!

Someone told me once, that LaLane didn’t even start exercising until he was in his 50’s. Do you know if that’s true?
