President Obama met with about 50 of the Democratic Party’s biggest donors on Tuesday night at an upscale Washington hotel, but aides excluded reporters from the event since the president did not give a speech.

Obama on Tuesday will motorcade to Washington's Mandarin Oriental Hotel for a reunion with selected members of his 2008 presidential Finance Committee at an event for the Democratic National Committee. A person I talked to familiar with the event said the invitees included Obama 2008 presidential campaign bundlers who produced the most campaign cash. This type of dinner could well be a precursor to Obama organizing his re-election campaign next year.
A bundler is a person who uses his or her personal contacts to raise money for a candidate. Individuals are limited on what they can give to a federal candidate -- someone running for the White House, Senate or House -- so a bundler is valuable because there is no limit on how much that person can raise from other people for a campaign. This event is not a formal fund-raiser; major donors have been invited to the dinner to rally the troops.
A Democratic party official explained, "The president will stop by a gathering of some of our strongest Democratic supporters and long-time friends." The president is not expected to deliver any remarks. The Obama White House usually allows a pool reporter to cover fund-raising events only when the president speaks.

Man, this is simply beyond belief. I simply cannot believe that someone would dare to lie in such a shocking way. He thinks that America is inner city Chicago and that Americans are the dumb welfare queens of inner city Chicago who believe every lie he tells them.

Almost all of these 2008 bundlers have been rewarded with Administration jobs. If he is meeting with government-employed bundlers to discuss campaign organization, it would be a violation of federal law. But then these are Democrats we're talking about here.
I cannot wait until he is on a permanent vacation.
Well you ask - Why is his wife taking a seperate vacation? Why has he disappeared from his press on recent trips? Why is he all alone in Florida while his wife is in Spain? Enquiring minds want to know!! Edwards, gore, Klinton and the big O - sounds like birds of a feather.

This is a poseur who knows no shame. He is a complete and total failure by any kind of reasonable standard and yet he continues to pile blunder upon blunder, seemingly clueless to his utter incompetence and lack of any accomplishments whatsoever during his time in the presidency. Can there be any doubt that this strutting peacock is at the bottom of the pile when it comes to rating past presidents, worse even than the dreaded Jimmy Carter.
The really important and influential donors weren’t there per se, but they have been wearing a rubber glove for obvious reason, for quite a while now. Thanks kristinn.
