Citing her treatment of military recruiters as dean of Harvard Law School, Sen. Lamar Alexander, R-Tenn., said this morning that he will vote against Solicitor General Elena Kagan for a spot on the U.S. Supreme Court.

He joins another senator from the Mid-South, Roger F. Wicker, R-Miss., in expressing opposition to President Barack Obama’s nominee.

“I voted against the president’s nomination of Elena Kagan to be Solicitor General and I will vote against her confirmation to the Supreme Court for the same reason: I remain deeply troubled by her aggressive opposition to allowing military recruiters the same access to Harvard Law School as other prospective employers when she was its dean,” Alexander said in a prepared statement.

A little bit of good news. Kagan will win fewer votes than Sotomayor did last year.

Since it's the Mid-South, please name all of those states south of Mississippi!

Graham voted yes which I believe let it out of committee ensuring a vote in front of the full senate. The little weasel is dispicable and a waste of human skin.

The three R’s so far are Lindsey Graham, Richard Lugar, and Susan Collins. Snowe hasn’t made a decision yet.

Democrats are losing an Opportunity here, especially the Dems up for Election in November.

Obama has given them a “Immigration Lawsuit” to assist the Republicans against Democrat incumbants in the November Elections.

Democrats should vote against Kagan and show Obama who is the BOSS, and what Congress can do that a Veto cannot. Exit Kagan, enter talks with Democrats and Obama.
