Cornyn Congratulates New President Of LULAC (barf alert)

WASHINGTON—U.S. Sen. John Cornyn, R-Texas, today spoke with incoming president of the League of United Latin American Citizens (LULAC), Margaret Moran, and congratulated her on her recent election:

“I had the pleasure of speaking with my friend Margaret today and congratulating her on her recent election to serve as the President of LULAC. LULAC represents some of the most accomplished and motivated Latino leaders in the country, and Margaret is well prepared to sit at the helm of this powerful organization. As a Texan, she also brings a unique perspective to this national organization, with firsthand knowledge of the dynamic Hispanic population in Texas, the challenges they face, and the many contributions they make to our society, economy and culture.

“As the Hispanic population in the U.S. continues to grow at record speed, and Latinos take on new leadership roles in every facet of our society, from education and politics to health care and the financial industry, LULAC will play a critical role in representing these voices on the national stage. I look forward to a continued, positive working relationship with LULAC and its new president as we seek to build a more prosperous and secure future.”

For the record, I know John and campaigned for him in the past, but lately, he has been hitting the RINO kool-aid pretty hard.

I left him the following message in a couple of places regarding this:

Why is an organization that is in the business of continuing to divide people among racial and ethnic lines worth congratulating? One of the major problems we have is that we keep having groups and people divide us up and tell X group they aren't good enough as individuals because of something like ethnicity, so they then provide a solution, ie, making them depending on others help. True Conservative values celebrates the individual and states that you as an individual can achieve anything. You don't need a group advocating for you because of your race or ethnicity.

Let me guess John, your next campaign slogan will be "I'm from the government and I'm here to help"?

I hate to say this, but Cornyn has lost me, completely.

I really had high expectations for him when he first ran for the Senate. He has been a total disappointment for the past couple of years.

U.S. Sen. John Cornyn is being a RINO.
He isn't up for reelection for 4 years.
His last email said he couldn't make up his mind
about Kagan.
He also stated to me that he believes the UN will
be the savior of humankind!

4 years is a nice amount of time to get a grass-roots movement behind a Conservative candidate for his seat. People were calling for Michael Williams to run for Kay’s seat for a while, time to do the same to John.

I don’t think most Texans would even recognize Cornyn if he came into a room. Somehow he was able to win with little name ID. People just don’t pay any attention him but reelect him when he is on a ballot.

I never had high expectations for Cornyn and was surprised that he won over Ron Kirk in 2002. People in TX like more liberal politicians than the voting results show. That’s why Bill White is so encouraged this year.

...and next election (like past elections), ol’ John will trot out the big ol’ horse and the ten-gallon white cowboy hat and mouth conservative platitudes on the teevee...

My disgust with this lying liberal RINO puke knows no bounds.

U.S. Sen. John Cornyn, R-Texas Must be included in the coming RINO Kill (politically speaking, of course).

Death to all RINOs, no exceptions (politically speaking, of course).
Without a RINO cleansing, conservative are hopelessly betrayed on a daily basis, by RINOs who are taking a seat that conservatives could and should be occupying.

The bottom line is that he is who we are stuck with for the time being.

When he is next up for re-election, I may run against him in the primary, myself.

It’s about time that a Marine Corps Cracker represents this great state.

You can bet that LULAC, La Raza, NAACP or any other racist group will be told to get bent.

Both John “let’s spend like no tomorrow” Cornyn and Kay “bailout” Hutchinson need to be GONE from the Senate - the sooner the better!

I told both of them that if they voted for the bailout and the stimulus bills, I would vote against them in every election until they are gone from public office! I told them I wouldn’t vote for them to be local dog catcher!

Both of these idiots have completely gotten lost in the DC inner-circle and need to be purged from the Texas Ballot! They both are bigger RINO’s than Perry - if that is even possible!

We definitely should find a decent CONSERVATIVE candidate to replace these snakes!

Yes it is. He did that to help Perry with the Hispanic vote in November.

“As the Hispanic population in the U.S. continues to grow at record speed...

Yes, they certainly are, aren't they?

Say Cornyn - how dramatic do you think that growth would be if we didn't have 20-50 million ILLEGAL immigrants in this country and millions more pouring in every year?

Care to answer that one?

"He isn't up for reelection for 4 years."

No he isn't, but he can be removed from his position at the head of the NRSC long before that (like the end of this year). Regardless of what state you're in, lean hard on your GOP senator to elect somebody to the head of the NRSC who won't recruit and back other RINOs for the senate.
