Party switch in 3.2.1.

I'm thinking the exact same thing. He'd be a rock star in Mass for years to come as a centrist Dem. He has almost no future as a RINO Republican.

My guess is he doesn’t like Libs saying bad things about his daughters, figures it’s better to join them than beat them.

Mr. Brown has voted in some manner in the favor of several industries in The Hub ~ could it be insurance? Maybe some credit card service bureaus?

Whatever it is someone needs to read the bill who knows Massachusetts business interests.

All Senators do that, but MA Senators have a reputation for voting pro MA and anti American. It's an old tradition ~ goes all the way back to the War of 1812.

Could it be Mr. Brown is going to pull a Mullah Omar and sell one of his daughters to the Democrat equivalent of Osama Bin Laden?

Hmmm ~ the possibilities are endless.

What a disappointment he is. He sure had me going.

If he thinks it's such a great bill, does he ever wonder why no Republicans support it; why Chris Dodd and Barney Frank do support it?

And what the hell do they talk about at Republican Senate caucus meetings, anyway? "Hey Scott, the soup is excellent today, you should try it." Don't they ever go around the room and describe all the things a bill does and tell the fence sitters that it is not something that any Republican should be supporting. And then browbeat them a little? If not, they ought to.

What is most discouraging is that I fear that with people like this, and Snowe and Collins and Shelby and the whole gang, electing a Republican Congress after a TON of effort this fall will be for naught. They don't have the stomach, the will or the philosophical underpinning to repeal all of Barry's socialist anti-Constitutional laws. We need a conservative leader with courage to take the bull by the horns, force the Republicans to follow, and do battle. Where is that person? It ain't John Boener, Mitch McConnell or any of the Pubbies that are running the show now.

I was onto this pretty boy pretender from the beginning.
Brown marketed himself cynically as THE FORTY-FIRST VOTE!
and, nationwide, incalculable numbers of starry-eyed
supporters
opened their wallets, manned phone banks from neighboring states, and put him into his current job.
Of course, he turned out NOT to be the 41st vote at all,
but he apparently so much enjoyed the magic of being the ‘go-to guy’
where and whenever close votes are needed, that he can’t resist the ‘magnetism’ that comes with it-—unfortunately, in the fashion of most ex-male models, he too dumb to realize that he’s voting on the WRONG side of every issue now, so, for all practical purposes the difference between him and Ted Kennedy or Martha Coakley can be seen as “a distinction without a difference.” Screw him, the classic RINO in the Mitt Romney mold.

What happened to “I’ll be the 41st vote, not the 60th vote,” Sen. Brown? Given your voting track record to date, I thought so...... =.=

>>> He’d be a rock star in Mass for years to come as a centrist Dem. He has almost no future as a RINO Republican.

Really?

“”The survey of 558 adults in Massachusetts, including 497 likely voters, was taken June 17-23 by the University of New Hampshire’s Survey Center.

Brown’s backers can be heartened by the depth of his support.

Asked their opinion of Brown, 55 percent of those polled said they view him favorably, only 18 percent unfavorably. His rating among Republicans is 79 percent favorable, 3 percent unfavorable. And 55 percent of independents — the majority of the state’s voters — say they like him, while only 11 percent have an unfavorable opinion. The poll has a margin of error of 4.2 percent.

Despite the fact that his election in January was a crushing blow to both the state and national Democratic party, 41 percent of Democrats say they view Brown favorably, and 32 percent, unfavorably.””
