New federal regulations issued this week stipulate that the electronic health records--that all Americans are supposed to have by 2014 under the terms of the stimulus law that President Barack Obama signed last year--must record not only the traditional measures of height and weight, but also the Body Mass Index: a measure of obesity.
The obesity-rating regulation states that every American's electronic health record must: “Calculate body mass index. Automatically calculate and display body mass index (BMI) based on a patient’s height and weight.”
The law also requires that these electronic health records be available--with appropriate security measures--on a national exchange.

Uh oh. There are a lot of Dems who won’t want to give out this information. For example. I know a fairly young obese Dem (white) who gets everything ‘free’. She is not going to like these new regs. My guess is, she’s far from alone.
None of these laws can be undone. 2/3 majority and a non-RINO President will have to be in power. Will NEVER happen.
Particularly once 20-40 million illegals start to vote.
And here I remember when health records were not to be shared ... My have we come a ways from the privacy of your papers.
I can see a day when you are issued a card with this data that you have to use at the supermarket like they do at Safeway. If your BMI number is too high, you can’t buy fattening foods and some kind of siren goes off as you try to ring them up at the check-stand. It CAN happen. The technology is in place now.
As I said, if we do not have sucess this year and in 2012, then the results will be UGLY.
Implementation of these policies is when the bullets will begin to fly.
Kind of hard for the Nazi’s to find you when you don’t go to the doctor. The ONLY time I go see a doc is when I cannot fix the problem with over the counter medications. Even when I do, I go to a doc-in-a-box. I grew up not going to a doctor on a regular basis, and it’s continued through to my adulthood. Come find me, you Marxist b@stards!

Yes. I'm very interesting in seeing what will happen to the ~95% support Obama receives from blacks when it becomes evident that a very significant percentage of AA have a body mass index in the overweight or obese range. I would be surprised if Michele's BMI fell within accepted guidelines.
These elitist, socialist, fascists must be stopped. Now.
This means it is not taking into account the volume of a person's body, just their height.
A really tall person will be classified as obese even if they're a string bean.
A really short person will be classified as healthy even if they are shaped like a basketball.
All this means that men are going to be misclassified as obese at a far higher rate then women, which is good, because we always like to find new ways to punish men.
Men bad. Women good.
