Try Valdosta Ga and traffic stops, and Valdosta Ga and speed trap.

I too have been mistreated and know others. Its really quite easy for them to do. How to prove they are not telling the truth? Even if,in this case you find they have done this many times before, what are the odds you are the one that gets justice?

My one and only box truck driving/asset recovery trip from Columbia SC to JAX which was a nightmare operation from the second day on culminated in me after working a 12 hour day, being ordered by a jackass at the main office (also a MO state trooper with an attitude problem) to drive straight home.

I was so mad that I was able to drive straight to the SC line before pulling over at a rest stop but I knew better than to speed in GA. If I had gotten pulled, it would have been bad. My log book wasn’t legible (have doctor’s writing) and I was probably near limit on load.

When I finally pulled up to the building at 4AM and got unloaded and sort of checked in, I had put in almost a 24 hour day.

Wasn't this an episode of The Dukes of Hazzard? You should have had your hot cousin Daisy distract the officer while you waited for Uncle Jesse and Cooter to disable his car for you to make your getaway.

Gee, isn’t it strange that it is the Arizona police this guy is accusing of illegal behavior? Couldn’t have anything to do with the illegals law could it?

The logistics don't seem to work out here. Someone from the area should be able to figure it out. I think whoever wrote this is a liar.

A tow truck company in the area I work was doing somewhat the same thing, towing cars for BS traffic stops and then charging incredible fees, all the while working on a salvage title.

I once read a story in an Alfred Hitchcock anthology that centered on the exact same scenario. Only in the story the "victims" were actually undercover agents working a sting operation. Which, incidentally, is what needs to happen in this case.

Just another rare, isolated example of the 99% giving the 1% a bad name.

And what, pray tell, is the difference between this “scam” and what a typical traffic cop does every single day?

....judge sided with the cop.

Of course he did. You didn't meet your burden of proving your innocence. /s

It's odd how the speeding ticket or DUI doesn't end up on your record.

I got one of those in Dallas TX back in the 80's. The cop only took cash, or I'd have to follow him to the jail. ;)

PS For the record, “thugcop” is my personal term for bad cops who abuse their authority. Few cops are thugcops, but thugcops do a lot of harm!

Have you ever gone to jail for speeding? Me neither, although I've been to 32 states. I've probably been stopped for speeding 20 + times. No hint of incarceration.

Foxpro's story, however, is one I've heard from friends and relatives who have been in truly isolated areas.

Closest I ever came was driving through "A Native American Nation."

I don't like Indians after that.

I don't care what the pro-cop freepers say, being a cop is a career choice and they are not "victims". 9.8 out of 10 of them do it just so they can carry a gun and feel important/better than you.

Take the time to AT LEAST talk to a civil rights lawyer about this.

Many of them will work pro bono in cases like this. Get your $600 back, and sue the municipality, and render them unable forevermore to fund a corrupt police department.

Best thing to do, to stop the doubters, is to scan and post copies of the citation and the credit card receipt from the towing company. You can redact personal info, but I'm sure everyone would like to see the actual citation.

Also, please post a link to the state law establishing DUI towing rates at $7 per mile.

Also, I'm curious why you would use a pseudonym for a cop who kidnapped you. I'd be broadcasting his name far and wide.
