JULY 13, 2010 Obama's Immigration Fakery In 2007, then-Sen. Obama helped derail an immigration bill he claimed to support. He's no more serious about a bipartisan bill today.
BY WILLIAM MCGURN
Many of us in the press have had a field day noting Sen. John McCain's (R., Ariz.) transformation from immigration maverick to the Wyatt Earp of border control. Fair enough.
Back when it counted, however, Mr. McCain was the only Republican presidential candidate to back the last real chance we had for passing a bipartisan immigration compromise. Meanwhile, a man who claims to favor immigration reform but helped derail that 2007 effort gets a free pass. Today this same man is at it again, calling for a new bipartisan effort even as he diminishes the likelihood of any such reform ...

The scum at the Wall St Journal coming out for amnesty.
Yep, an inexhaustible supply of cheap, exploitable labor subsidized by the US taxpayer.
“The scum at the Wall St Journal coming out for amnesty.”
SUCH a disappointment they’ve been for years on this one.
Everyone is bought off.
John McCain: America is still the land of opportunity, and it is a beacon of hope and liberty and, as Ronald Reagan said, a shining city on the hill, McCain said. And were not going to erect barriers and fences.

Earth to Juan!!! The reason we're the land of opportunity is because traditionally we DIDN'T let just everyone in. They had to demonstrate that they had means of support and a sponsor who took responsibility if they became unemployed. So Juan, we were selective in who came and in that sense we DID erect barriers.
AZ please send Juan into retirement. Mr McLame, we thank you for your service, but your time has come and gone.
My problem with this is that the writer still thinks "comprehensive immigration reform" -- amnesty -- is a great idea.
Back when Robert Bartley was the head of the Wall St Journal he would publish an editorial every year that demanded a new amendment to the Constitution that stated “There shall be open borders”. That brainless POS wanted absolutely no restriction on immigration. The whole 3rd world would be free to descend on the US if they could manage a plane ticket. Of course that’s similar to what we have anyway with Dubya and Obama’s refusal to deport the millions of illegals now crowding California among other places. Now that Bartley has moved on to his infernal reward he has been replaced by Paul Gigot, an equally vile traitor. One of the great shames of modern history is that the 9-11 hijackers who took advantage of the WSJ’s “no borders” theory didn’t fly the planes into the WSJ’s editorial offices rather than into all the innocent folk in the World Trade Center.
“My problem with this is that the writer still thinks “comprehensive immigration reform” — amnesty — is a great idea. “
That’s been the editorial position of the Wall Street Journal for decades. That bunch is and has been the enemy of the average American for years.
At least the war on the middle class is still going well.
After all, if you're stupid enough to pay for a good chunk of an employee's cost, why should they ?
Ping!
