Posted on 07/08/2010 3:05:57 PM PDT by Nachum
Over the span of two days, the network morning shows have given just 20 seconds of coverage to the recess appointment of Donald Berwick, a pro-rationing doctor who will run Medicare.
In contrast, Good Morning America, Today and Early Show devoted 52 minutes of coverage to every detail of Lindsay Lohan's sentencing.
On Wednesday and Thursday's GMA, ABC hosts discussed Lohan for 14 minutes. CBS's Early Show managed 12 minutes to the important topic. Both programs had no mention of Berwick, who once told an audience in Great Britain, "Please, don't put your faith in market forces."

We are so screwed.
Well.. most of those who watch the media morning shows are Opra-Fried minds anyways.
There are a significant number of frakin’ idiots who watch these type shows on MSM outlets.....as one said previously in this thread, we are so screwed.
There. I fixed it.
They’d say, “The market demands THIS —it’s about money...”
Fine. So the market can also bear outfits that completely push Lohans to the side.
BRING IT ON....!
PS —What’s a “TV”...?
I think we need to start calling out the board members, major stock holders, and who is actually setting the policy of what the networks will cover. Calling it MSM gives them a pass.
have recnetly been to loughborough, UK. the coverage here isn’t any better. loosy lohan is getting coverage, some crazy murderer on the loose, and nothing on political issues that make a difference
saw a few hajibs and such there, 90 miles north of londonistan
“loosy lohan is getting coverage, “
Have they forgotten Victoria Beckham already? I’m OUTRAGED!!!/s;)
Sad to say, but this country needs a good depression.
Help some people get their heads out of the clouds.
Help some others get their heads out of their arses!!
The thread topic on the aside, perhaps she’ll use some of her time in jail and rehab and build a moral compass.
Isaiah 44:22 I have blotted out, as a thick cloud, thy transgressions, and, as a cloud, thy sins: return unto me; for I have redeemed thee.
Isaiah 51:11 Therefore the redeemed of the LORD shall return, and come with singing unto Zion; and everlasting joy
>> Just giving their viewers what they want, eh?
Keepin’ em’ ignorant.
Get angry, people!
It has amazed me these past few years, Katie, Diane, Robin etc. all swooning over Obama, wearing head scarves when travelling in a Muslim country. They honestly believe they will be exempt from any bad things Berwick does to the rest of us (death panels). But if the Goverment makes it illegal for doctors to accept “their” cash for super care, then they might come back to reality. Or if Muslim law enters into their lives, they will lose their jobs. Women are chattle and are not to be seen in public without a man, female genital mutilation, all the horrors they refuse to report on will come down on their heads and Katie’s daughters. These people have NO brains in their heads. I for one haven’t watched the “alphabet soup” news or morning shows in years.
The lesson to be understood is that we cannot rely on the narrow view of media to cover the issues that affect our lives.
Our civil dialog should not be channeled exclusively through the prism of the boob tube.
Who is Lindsay Lohan?
Who is Lindsay Lohan?.................................... Just a run of the mill Hollywood air head of no real importance.
Who is Lindsay Lohan?.................................... Just a run of the mill Hollywood air head of no real importance. A pretty face that servers a food for the tabloids.
No big surprise - the morning ‘news’ shows are little more than early editions of Access Hollywood or TMZ anyway. Mind-numbing trash.
IOW, a complete waste of time.
