I'm so tired of the strawman argument that the MSM and even sometimes Fox gives. There is no need for mass deportations. You don't need to round anyone up all you need is for a coordinated effort on the federal, state and local level to enforce existing laws.

Seal the border, use a fence, use the military use unmanned drones. Just close it and control who comes in.
Next, prosecute employers and give employers an easy way to check people's status. Will there be mistakes? Sure, but these can be handled on a case by case basis. Everyone here legally has some form of ID, what's the big deal about producing it?
Any employer found hiring an illegal, ruin them financially. This regime seems to have no problem doing that to law abiding citizens, why not the dirtbags who hire illegals.
Finally, cut off ALL benefits to illegals. No free healthcare except basic lifesaving, no free education or housing and no drivers license or credit cards.
While your at it, enforce the zoning laws. If a house is built for a family of six and 30 people live there, seize it and prosecute the owner.

Do this and within 10 years the illegal problem will be pretty much solved. Watch how wages for the average worker increase.
