It appears the President of the United States can't contain his disdain for America's historical roots. On Independence Day, instead of stressing the awesome concepts of the Declaration of Independence, Obama managed to turn a BBQ into an opportunity to disparage our founders, foster class warfare and further division.
On July 4th the Commander-in-Chief invited the military to a White House cookout and then used the occasion to skewer the Founding Fathers. Rather than depicting America as "one nation, under God, with liberty and justice for all," once again Barack-the-great-divider separated America into factions and brought up a time in our history where, in his view, America lacked, "civil rights and voting rights, workers' rights and women's rights."
A casually dressed Obama, who couldn't make Memorial Day at Arlington Cemetery, appeared on the balcony high above the active-duty military and their families who were waving flags and wearing red, white and blue face paint. The President, with Michelle at his side, spoke to the group, saying that today may be Independence Day, but "Today we also celebrate all of you, the men and women of our armed forces, who defend this country we love."

One of the differences, among many, between the Founders of this republic and Barack Obama:
Many of them started off wealthy, but sacrificed everything for this country and for liberty, dying poor, at least in the financial sense.
Conversely, Obama started off with nothing and has made himself into a multi-millionaire from “public service.”
It’s amazing how many of our elected “leaders” become rich on what is a comparatively modest salary.
I hate that man more every day.
Apologies, but I really think Obama’s heading in that direction.
Wonderful... I'm so sorry we missed it. How many were there?
I have to be honest and say that I wish these tea parties weren't scheduled on the actual July 4th date. We had family obligations out of state that day... it's impossible to be in two places at the same time, unfortunately.
THANK YOU ALL who participated at the July 4th Tea Party in Hartford!
nutmeg & zelig
With Evita at his side.
Some times you want to just beat your head against a wall in an attempt to figure out why this country would allow someone like this in the highest office in the land. I hope that after November, impeachment proceedings start. Some say we would see massive riots, so be it. It’s time to take this country back, big time. If the New Black Panthers don’t like it and want to cause problems, eliminate them.
You said it. I even questioned the placing of the rally for July 4th itself. I would have had no problem going up to a rally a day or two early. July 4th in itself should be for you to enjoy the day and to be with dear ones. The final count came up to about 250-300 people, a bit smaller then last July 4th, but still at least people attended.
Take care,
Biggirl
It was never more obvious that his balcony remarks showed his lack of knowledge of the difference between celebrating he founding of our Nation along with the wisdom of the Founders versus Memorial Day which acknowledges the sacrifices of those who served and died to maintain the heritage of those Founders OR his disdain of the greatness of our heritage; perhaps because he knows it is not his heritage by either his father and stepfather or the communism on the other side of his family.
Wow, that's fantastic! Many more than I expected to be able to attend on July 4th.
God bless all of you! :o)
God Bless and THANKS!

“We celebrate the principles that are timeless, tenets first declared by men of property and wealth...”
Those men pledge their lives, fortunes and sacred honor so you can be here screwing their work into the ground.
Most didn’t make it through with the first two.
Way to thank them, Bammy.
Reporter Complains That Obama Plane Is Smelly

How much longer ... ?
I just cannot imagine that even some of the wives of military members, especially wives of officers, would want to be there...and even look at Michelle who dresses so disrespectfully toward them.
P.S. Why is it that Michelle always feels she has to be sleeveless? You do not see Barack or anyone else among the WH entourage with bare arms. In fact, in one picture I saw of them, Obama is wearing a winter jacket, and Michelle is sleeveless. What is she trying to prove...that she can be vulgar and have an in-your-face attitude and no one can tell her to stop. After all, telling Michelle the truth about her appearance, would be "racist."
I think the guy is kinda sweet on Venezuela.
The Obamas remind me of Charles and Diana, who I saw wave from a balcony one time. They did not end up very well.
So - rhetorical question - how come this insulting behavior is not getting a fraction of the attention that Michael Steele got this weekend!
defend this country we love...? whats this “we”?? When did Barry start loving this country??
We know Michelle started loving it when Barry won though.
Nice.
The Republicans don’t have the balls for impeachment, much less the trial that follows.
On the balcony like in a Soviet MayDay parade.
Most didnt make it through with the first two.
Excellent post, thank you.
he has been giving a lot of speeches without a flag lately
Barack Obama doesn’t like American people. < /pDiddy >
EXCERPT:
Fellow Citizens, I am not wanting in respect for the fathers of this republic. The signers of the Declaration of Independence were brave men. They were great men too-great enough to give fame to a great age. It does not often happen to a nation to raise, at one time, such a number of truly great men. The point from which I am compelled to view them is not, certainly the most favorable; and yet I cannot contemplate their great deeds with less than admiration. They were statesmen, patriots and heroes, and for the good they did, and the principles they contended for, I will unite with you to honor their memory.
They loved their country better than their own private interests; and, though this is not the highest form of human excellence, all will concede that it is a rare virtue, and that when it is exhibited, it ought to command respect. He who will, intelligently, lay down his life for his country, is a man whom it is not in human nature to despise. Your fathers staked their lives, their fortunes, and their sacred honor, on the cause of their country. In their admiration of liberty, they lost sight of all other interests.
They were peace men; but they preferred revolution to peaceful submission to bondage. They were quiet men; but they did not shrink from agitating against oppression. They showed forbearance; but that they knew its limits. They believed in order; but not in the order of tyranny. With them, nothing was "settled" that was not right. With them, justice, liberty and humanity were "final;" not slavery and oppression. You may well cherish the memory of such men. They were great in their day and generation. Their solid manhood stands out the more as we contrast it with these degenerate times.
How circumspect, exact and proportionate were all their movements! How unlike the politicians of an hour! Their statesmanship looked beyond the passing moment, and stretched away in strength into the distant future. They seized upon eternal principles, and set a glorious example in their defence. Mark them!
Fully appreciating the hardships to be encountered, firmly believing in the right of their cause, honorably inviting the scrutiny of an on-looking world, reverently appealing to heaven to attest their sincerity, soundly comprehending the solemn responsibility they were about to assume, wisely measuring the terrible odds against them, your fathers, the fathers of this republic, did, most deliberately, under the inspiration of a glorious patriotism, and with a sublime faith in the great principles of justice and freedom, lay deep, the corner-stone of the national super-structure, which has risen and still rises in grandeur around you.
— Frederick Douglas, July 5th, 1852, Rochester, New York
To be fair, when Charles and Diana waved from that balcony there were literally a million people in line of sight waving back. That was a balcony moment if there ever was one.
At that time, what nation in the world had universal sufferage and full civil rights for all?
Yes, and yet the meme this weekend was that Michael Steele "needs to step down" for decrying the war in Afghanistan (which Barack has already announced a withdrawl date) and making Barack look bad.
Yet when Senator Barack denounced the Iraq war, General Petreus, and the American Way, people voted him INTO the White House. And from the White House, he continues to trash this nation's traditions.
He's a red diaper doper baby through and through. He has NO kind words for America except to say how great HE is as president.
And, more to the point -
what nation on earth had the structure and principles in place in order that those desirable achievements could have been implemented?

Our Founders are probably spinning in their graves over what this manchild and his fellow Leftists are doing to our country. They are destroying the gift that has been left behind by the Founders.
All of the sacrifices that have been made, all of the blood spilled in defense of this nation, squandered in a couple of generations. Our current crop of liberals are just looking to finish it off....
Good point.
The closest comparable event at the time would be I guess when the French had their revolution for Liberty, Equality and Fraternity.
Which of course in an eye-blink became the Terror.
The balcony baloney irks me no end. And then I realized why the attendees were all ACTIVE duty military: They’re the only citizens not allowed to talk back to him. I can’t view any of the YouTube links from this computer; it would be interesting to know if any of the crowd was recorded and what their verbal response was.
Im not a Obama defender but in reading his remarks he said no such thing. From www.americanthinker.com:
...While America focused on Cedric the Entertainer, the U.S. Marine band, Sabrett® hot dogs, Obama's short-sleeved polo shirt, and the outstanding potato salad, the thing that was the most telling about the event were Obama's sentiments when he said the following:We celebrate the principles that are timeless, tenets first declared by men of property and wealth but which gave rise to what Lincoln called a new birth of freedom in America-civil rights and voting rights workers' rights and women's rights, and the rights of every American. And on this day that is uniquely American we are reminded that our Declaration, our example, made us a beacon to the world.Eerily comfortable on a balcony delivering a speech to the crowd below, Obama surreptitiously served up the founding fathers of this nation like shish kabob, disparaging them as merely "men of property and wealth."Then Obama, who identifies himself with a great president who freed slaves rather than made new ones, in an underhanded way elevated Abraham Lincoln above the evil white men who dared to own property and accumulate personal wealth with a simple qualifying "but."
For Obama, the "birth of freedom" at our nation's founding doesn't quite cut the hot dog mustard. Instead Barry relishes what followed: "civil rights, voting rights, workers' rights and women's rights," and hopefully soon, illegal immigrants' rights. Apparently, in the president's mind, "social justice" is what makes us "uniquely American."
Obama's words indicate a view that addendums to independence are far superior to the miracle of our nation's birth and the genius of the men who founded this nation...
I, too, threw up in my mouth a little.

"Phh. There's a f****** surprise."
Obama is a Marxist, and a fraud and unfit to serve. Hisaims are diametrically opposed to the fundamental moral and republican principles that our founders suffered, bled, and died to lay down. He is unfit so much as to tie one of their bootlaces.
I placed the following on my main page at my web site, http://www.jeffhead.com. It will remain there until this man is removed from office. He and his ilk need to know the srength of commitment that exists out here for the fundamental principles that undergird our constitution and Republic:
“Barack Hussein Obama, hear us, loyal Americans whose bloodlines run deep in this land, back to the founding & beyond, who have watered the ground of this nation & foreign soils to maintain our liberty & constitution: Molon Labe-Sic Semper Tyranus-De Oppresso Liber. Your Marxism shall not stand in this land, so help us God!” - Jeff Head, July 3, 2010

Sorry to have to say it, but he makes the best case AGAINST affirmative action.
Will you please take JPII out of those photos?
It doesn’t belong.
IMHO.
