We contracted with Research 2000 to conduct polling and to provide us with the results of their surveys. Based on the report of the statisticians, it's clear that we did not get what we paid for.

Drudge lists the title as Daily Kos Admits to Publishing Fraudulent Polls. Okay so who recently had a bogus Daily Kos poll showing they were doing really well?

McCain. I said it was a BS poll probably paid for by McCain's boss - Soros. Soros owns MCCain and O. So the Daily Kos was running BS polls to make McCain look good to depress JD Hayworth supporters.

April 2, 1010 Daily Kos ran a BS poll showing McCain far ahead on JD Hayworth. I will post a link shortly. This is a scandal and JD Hayworth needs to jump on this.

Here we go:

McCain 52 - JD 37%. April 2010. The liberal media and Democrats are trying to save McCain with fraudulent polls. Soros paid polls?

I wish JD Hayworth had a PI to track this down fast. Daily Kos does fake polls and why in the world would they poll McCain’s race unless the Democrats wanted McCain to win.

The BS Daily Kos poll was designed to hurt JD’s fund raising and momentum. McCain is a Democrat. This is a scandal.

Rasmussen Reports 707 LV 47 36 McCain +11
R2000/Daily Kos (D) 400 LV 48 36 McCain +12
PPP (D) 387 LV 46 35 McCain +11
Behavior Research Center 315 LV 54 28 McCain +26

It ain't just Kos.

From what I can tell, R2000 just cribbed other polls' results.

That sounds right. They just tweak the numbers to look original.

This is exactly what Obama did. He bought up all the air time. I hope people in AZ see through this.

It ain't just Kos.

It is the Daily Kook polling. A better measurement is to find polls taken close to the same time period.

Rasmussen: Arizona Republican Primary for Senate: McCain 47%, Hayworth 42% Friday, April 16, 2010

Daily Kooks: McCain 52%, Hayworth 37% Fri Apr 02, 2010

The Kooks: McCain +15

Rasmussen: McCain +5

A 10 percent difference.

The poll that Kos is discussing is their “State of the Nation” poll — they needed a poll that happened every week to do the type of statistical analysis needed to catch R2000.

I hate to say this, but I recommend that freepers go through the Politico story (which is just some stupid politico “story” quoting the middle of the Markos explanation). You go to DailyKos, unfortunately, and then you have to link through to the report on the poll.

But when you do, it’s an interesting discussion of how you can tell if a poll isn’t really random samples.

I don’t give Kos credit — they have no choice but to distance themselves, as they were called out by others who did the research, and the story is pretty iron-clad.

http://www.fivethirtyeight.com/ did the research that KOS relied on I believe, to throw out Research 2k. Fivethirtyeight have some integrity and seem pretty professional
