As concerns mount about the presence of Asian carp near Lake Michigan, U.S. Sen. Dick Durbin today urged President Obama to appoint a carp czar to oversee efforts to keep the invasive species out of the Great Lakes.
"We need to have one person who coordinates the efforts of the federal, state and local agencies that are doing everything they can to keep the Asian carp out of Lake Michigan," Durbin said during a news conference at the Shedd Aquarium. "We believe it's absolutely essential."

I would think “dead fish” Emanuel would be a natural for carp czar.
Durbin should ask “Where the hell is the great lakes czar and our $25 billion?”.
I suppose the GOP will be carping at this idea!
I’m no fisherman. Why is it important to keep this fish out of Lake Michigan?
Durbin could himself serve as “Crap Czar”, as few are more full of it than he.
The American People need to appoint an impeachment Czar.

Whoever is appointed will most likely be a suddenly forgetful witness, or have close ties to one.

It is dis-placing many native species.
Because it's a rapidly breeding invasive species which isn't native to the US, let alone the Great Lakes. It's a voracious eater which strips the food chain so that native species starve out.
It's a real problem and one we don't have a handle on.
However the last thing we need is another 'czar' to deal with it. Illinois DNR could take care of it if they didn't have to deal with multiple layers of Federal bureaucrats.
Their habits will destroy the Great Lakes ecosystem because other creatures will starve.
That's sort of it in a nutshell.

And why is that important? What happened to evolution and all that? Survival of the fittest and what not? Change is good, right? Hope and Change? After all, they're just looking for a better life.
