I thought I had read the headline wrong because I couldn’t imagine a fish czar. Buy, hey, this is the new hopey changey administration so anything and everything needs a czar.
I carp is a good tasting fish but it’s the bones that cause people to think it’s bad so now it has a bad reputation. It can be filleted and grilled just like any other fish. Or put it in a pressure cooker for home canning so that any bones left in will be easy to eat similar to bones found in canned tuna or salmon.

I can think of several senators I’d like to see take that job.
Some of us from outside Illinois do understand the ecological problem you’re faced with, and sympathize.

It is a mystery why none of the state agencies have offered a bounty on these fish, especially considering they've gone as far as poisoning rivers to try an abate their advance.
Cameron Davis is a radical environmentalist who I believe still heads the alliance for the great lakes and is a Joyce foundation alumnus.
He wants buffer zones of more than 100 yards around all lakes, streams, ponds, and wetlands in the great lakes watershed. In Michigan, we’re never more than a mile from one of those things so he effectively wants to evacuate the state.
