Several Senators have learned of a possible plan by the Obama Administration that would provide a mass Amnesty for the nation's 11-18 million illegal aliens. Led by Sen. Chuck Grassley (R-Iowa), eight Senators addressed a letter to the President asking for answers to questions about a plan that would allow DHS Secretary Janet Napolitano to provide an amnesty if they can't secure enough votes for a bill in the Senate.
The letter that was sent to Pres. Obama earlier today asks the President for clarification on the use of deferred action or parole for illegal aliens. The executive actions are typically used in special cases and are evaluated on a case-by-case basis, but if 60 votes can't be secured in the Senate to pass a mass Amnesty, the Administration may use the discretionary actions as an alternative.

The greater the resistance he meets, the more radical and aggressive he becomes.
It seems that his fragile ego may be breaking under the strain.
This President is using discretionary actions as a way of getting anything he wants, regardless of what Congress or the American people want. This guys needs to be impeached now and all the Democrats that support these type of actions. If not, they will take over this country.

From what I understand a president can only grant pardons and amnesties to US citizens so illegal aliens wouldn’t qualify. It’s an act of desperation to even try because the democrats obviously want and need the votes.
That’s why its so important to elect new people without ties to Washington. People who don’t go along to get along.
Most important, we need to elect people who can’t be blackmailed into being lenient with criminals on either side of the aisle.
What Obama seems to want to do is effectively to try and convict the illegals in the country, and then grant blanket pardons.

“There’s a lot we can agree on when it comes to dealing with the immigration problems in the United States, but this appears to be amnesty in disguise, and is simply an attempt to circumvent Congress,” Grassley said.

Dear President Obama:
We understand that there’s a push for your Administration to develop a plan to unilaterally extend either deferred action or parole to millions of illegal aliens in the United States. We understand that the Administration may include aliens who have willfully overstayed their visas or filed for benefits knowing that they will not be eligible for a status for years to come. We understand that deferred action and parole are discretionary actions reserved for individual cases that present unusual, emergent or humanitarian circumstances. Deferred action and parole were not intended to be used to confer a status or offer protection to large groups of illegal aliens, even if the agency claims that they look at each case on a “case-by-case” basis.
While we agree our immigration laws need to be fixed, we are deeply concerned about the potential expansion of deferred action or parole for a large illegal alien population. While deferred action and parole are Executive Branch authorities, they should not be used to circumvent Congress’ constitutional authority to legislate immigration policy, particularly as it relates to the illegal population in the United States.
The Administration would be wise to abandon any plans for deferred action or parole for the illegal population. Such a move would further erode the American public’s confidence in the federal government and its commitment to securing the borders and enforcing the laws already on the books.
We would appreciate receiving a commitment that the Administration has no plans to use either authority to change the current position of a large group of illegal aliens already in the United States, and ask that you respond to us about this matter as soon as possible.

Unconstitutional no matter how you look at it but none of that seems to matter with this administration.
US citizens fear the usurper, period.
We need people deeply committed, not to “slowing the growth” of the federal government,

The easiest way he can do it is to have the State Dept. issue legal resident status for all of them as ‘refugees’ of the worn torn holes they crawled out of...just like they just did with Haitian illegal aliens.
To prevent that after the amnesty, conservatives should take back Congress in November and seal the Mexican border from any further immigration--legal or illegal. The only human traffic should be one way -- back to Mexico.
Build that wall! Then put a few army divisions down there with air recon and support. And keep it that way for three generations or a hurndred years--long enough for the great grandchildren of present 20 million illegal Mexicans to become Americans, and for the present illegals to be dead of old age.

Elections in America will be like the example of 3 wolves and a sheep voting on what’s for dinner.

I hardly think such an executive order would be constitutional and without question would trigger a firestorm even from members of the Democratic party.
I really hope he does this. I double dare him to. If he does he will really stir up a hornet’s nest and he will be a one term president. It would be almost worth it.

I really think the left is attempting to push all the buttons of the real Americans so that they’ll actually take some sort of concrete, physical action in response.
