Seriously, I still need to learn more about him, but the beginning of his counter-insurgency (with the insurgency being defined as the obama administration) seems to be going according to plan.

Didja know that McChrystal has always said he voted for Obama? Probably not a good candidate for higher office.

He voted for Obama.

I don’t need to know any more.

Agreed. Anyone who openly acknowledges his poor judgment in voting for Zero needs to be either voted out of office or kept out of office.

Part of the plan, Stan. Best way to get cover from unfriendly fire (aka Rolling Stone, NY Slimes, Etc). Otherwise this would NOT have made the splash it did.

Shouldn't you have thought of that before annointing him VP?

I see that I am not the first person to note he claims to be an Obama voter.

That makes him either a liar or a fool.

Stand by on that! I’ve read that he voted for BO.

That means either he’s a useful idiot just thrown under the bus or so egregiously politically stupid that we don’t want him anyway.

If really had the power to annoint, I would use it to get the big O outta there. My purpose is to put up the notion that McChrystal might be COINing Obama, and public office is one possible outcome. With what I know about him already I can say that he is more qualified than Biden.

Him saying he voted for BO could also be a careful calculation, meant to shape public opinion and media response.

Anyone who voted for Oblunder clearly shows a clear lack of judgement. Nuff said!

He voted for a non-NBC. Not very bright. The Pentagon must be filled with cowards and idiots if they vote for and support non-NBC S*udi agents.

Well if you consider pissing off Obama to be the sole qualification necessary for VP candidacy in 2012, and continue to tout every public figure who does that for the office, then I predict you're going to be a very busy boy over the next two years.

Better to go with Patreus if you want to put a general there. Personally I’d rather have LTC. Allen West. If McCrystal actually voted for Obama, he must have had something against McCain.

But gets a good mark in his copy book for honesty.

On another thread, Taildragger suggested that McChrystal may be getting set up to be Hillary’s VP. I think that has a lot more validity than the suggestion that Palin would be interested.

Just think, he refused to vote for the ex-Navy pilot to be his commander-in-chief in favor of the community organizer who never served a day.

Jus sayin.

It's getting a little tiring reading posts recommending generals primarily because they are generals. First, it was Patreaus, who describes himself as an “Rockerfeller Republican,” and now McChrystal, who apparently voted for Obama and has caused scores of Allied casualties because of his rules of engagement.

Whose next: Wesley Clark? Colon Powell? They were generals. Joe Sestak was an admiral.

Please do some research before writing a post that is an embarrassment.
