Absolutely, but that is not the same thing as "convert and become a Christian." What Jesus, John, Peter, and Paul taught was not about a new religion. Rahm has enforced 1.5 years of Moslem thuggery, and he’s helped craft the “final solution” of dismantling Israel and aiding Iran/Moslems to surround and attack it.

If that doesn’t convince people he’s anti-Israel and anti-Judaism, what will? Must I supply videotape of Rahm personally assembling a crude nuclear bomb in Tehran, then loading it onto a flatbed truck for shipment to the Israeli border? What will it take, my dear confused Freepers?

The ONLY reason Rahm is leaving the WH is that the Blago/Sestak/Romanoff felonies are about to blow up, with possible impeachment after the NOV elections. Those felonies, plus whatever other crimes Rahm has committed, are plenty to trigger a “career change.”

I think the timing and the venue (UK newspaper) indicates something is out of control at the WH. Also the detail indicates that the initiative is with E, that E is rebuffing O in some (distastefully public) way.

I do think O is in a constant cycle of looking for scapegoats, as has been his successful MO probably since his formative adolescent years. He has probably been "telegraphing" that to his "inner circle" as the GOS reporting forces the MSM to become more critical of O's administration.

E no doubt can read the writing on the wall (so to speak). This is probably already his Plan B since he's already politically tainted by the O admin failures and revelations of the last few weeks...

Put oneself in the position of a WH underling, watching the COS fly the coop. What then would you be thinking of doing right now? O wants to blame someone quickly, but at the same time he can't afford the morale hit to the staff of E leaving. That is, maybe the wheels are finally coming off...

I’m actually fascinated by this.

Of all of Obama’s inner circle, Rahm Emmanuel was the only one I ever took seriously. I disagree with him completely politically, but he always struck me as a savvy, competent politician, and a real asset to the administration.

His departure can mean nothing but good things for the opponents of Obama’s agenda.

They may be able to replace the man, but I would be exceptionally surprised if they replaced him with a more effective one.

That’s just plain wrong. Emanuel is a Marxist first, last and always. Despite the left’s history of antisemitism, Emanuel probably thinks if he helps the crocodile across the river it won’t bite him. No different than the Jews who tried to find accomodation with Hitler. But, alas, history seems predestined to repeat itself.

No, Emanuel—if he goes off into the night from whence he came—is being cashiered because he simply cannot keep up with Onada’s personal and policy missteps. I think the guy did a fantastic job trying to keep up. But once the Onada house of cards began to cascade there was and is no way to keep up.

It will be intersting to see who Onada finds to fill Emanuel’s spot.
