Never one to to allow a "good crisis" to go to waste, Barack Obama is pledging to use the BP oil spill in the Gulf of Mexico as an opportunity to push the U.S. Congress to pass his controversial climate bill. In fact, during a recent interview Obama directly compared the current crisis in the Gulf to 9/11, and indicated that he believed that it would fundamentally change the way that we all look at energy issues from now on. But the truth is that Obama's climate bill is the same economy killing legislation that it was before the BP oil spill. It would still drive gas and electricity prices through the roof, it would still cause large numbers of U.S. businesses to flee overseas, it would still be one of the biggest tax increases in U.S. history and it would still usher in an unprecedented era of climate fascism. But now thanks to the BP oil spill there is suddenly a lot more momentum in Congress for doing something about energy and about "climate change".
Of course the truth is that carbon dioxide is not causing climate change and high levels of carbon dioxide are actually very good for the environment, but reducing carbon emissions has almost become a religion for radical environmentalists, and Barack Obama is absolutely determined to push through his "cap and trade" carbon trading scheme. In fact, just as 9/11 completely changed the war that Americans viewed the fight against terrorism, Barack Obama sees the oil spill in the Gulf of Mexico fundamentally changing the way that Americans see energy issues. During a recent interview, Obama told Politico columnist Roger Simon the following....
"In the same way that our view of our vulnerabilities and our foreign policy was shaped profoundly by 9/11,

The lesson learned is not so much about the the economic malaise but all about social policy, where dubious scientific assumption in the form of the quack science that global warming is disingenuously presented as fact, as means to dismantling capitalism, the greatest economic system ever to one in which the philosophy of socialism is implemented by the likes of America-haters as illustrated by the President's bill.
Makes just as much sense as anything else he's "pushed."
The climate bill lacks support in the Senate and is a dead issue. There may be some energy bill but it is not the nation changer desired.
They will throw a little money at it with some for all.

What is the greatest crisis facing the U.S.? Should it go to waste?
The greatest crisis facing the United States is it’s current resident at the White House.
I wonder how many of these off shore oil rigs is actually American owned. And a peek at their safety records would be interesting as well. I remember seeing a stat in regard to the BP vs everyone else - it was something like upper 500’s to 3 and 1 for the American companies.
once you’re ok with the idea of not letting a crisis go to waste, essentially saying the ends justify the means, it’s a *very* short hop to creating the crisis... for the general good of course... in order to push your agenda
the bp explosion definitely seems fishy when you look at financial transactions by players involved
then when you find out about the ‘drill anwar’ vote that passed... the day before the valdez accident... the coincidences start to line up
funny how ‘accidents’ like the valdez & the bp explosion don’t happen very often... no other times... except just before various votes
It’s worse than just using to push his cap and tax, he’s going to use it to buy votes. This money is not going to go to the people who are being hurt by this spill. The people who are really being directly effected will probably still have to go through the courts.

You’ve done a great job creating clever, witty imagery down to the very last detail with the butt in the president’s mouth, hammer and sickle in the media promo. I love it!
