The Rasmussen Reports daily Presidential Tracking Poll for Saturday shows that 27% of the nation's voters Strongly Approve of the way that Barack Obama is performing his role as president. Forty-two percent (42%) Strongly Disapprove, giving Obama a Presidential Approval Index rating of -15

Overall, 46% of voters say they at least somewhat approve of the president's performance. Fifty-four percent (54%) disapprove.

We may want the numbers to go lower, but this looks like the floor for the near term, imo. The oil spill doesn’t seem to have moved the numbers at all, either. Obama would be in this range (45-47) just due to the economic uncertainty.

There is something else that rarely gets mentioned.

This index rating of -15 is in the face of the most comprehensive and amazingly perpetual media (entertainment and "news") promotion of an (alleged) United States politician.

Without this upper air support, (for example, with honest reportage) Mister Obama would be at -35 or lower.

The media have sacrificed much to prop up this apparent Marxist and apparent malignant narcissist. As Mister Obama's true lack of character and true intentions become more visible to the independents (and even many Dems), it is his messengers, the media, who will be seen much more negatively, moving from "distrusted" to purely toxic.
