You forgot to state that he also said that the father of Abby is a kook - he homeschooled seven children! AND that Abby left on that trip to get away from her father. I guess with seven children, Geraldo figures they sent her on her way just to get rid of her.
He has no idea what shape her boat was in when she left. He did have to tell everyone that he’d sailed around the world on a boat 2x the size of Abby’s but he had 4-6 crew on board. He couldn’t handle it solo?

Pretty soon I heard my father calling me...and all of a sudden he was in front of us....with his hand on his Bowie knife....the first time I had ever seen the knife on him when we weren't in the boat.
Dad never said a word to me as we trekked back to the cabin..but I didn't wander again....and I didn't forget...and 50 years have passed.
