That’s an awful lot of people to throw under the bus at once.
I think he might want to borrow that fleet from Nagin.

Maybe he is really close to going over the edge....these comments are getting weirder and weirder.
And the comments at Politico are very revealing.

This interview is a classic. By the way Barry, have those lawyers you sent figured out how to plug the damn hole yet?

Actually, POTUS Obama has some serious mental problems. Any POTUS that would act like he does is either drinking or smoking funny stuff or, more likely is a bit unbalanced. This guy is becoming unglued and cannot face reality. I suggest only the Democrat party can cure his ineptness as POTUS. I, once again, implore the Democrat Party to force Obama to resign or impeach him, if he refuses resignation. If the Dems do not move to remove Obama from office they will be destroyed by Obama and his liberal, left-wing, socialist ilk!!! November 2, 2010 is coming fast!!!

Why would we need more regulations? Obama’s BP squad waived the regulations already in place.

I think its fair to say,
if six months ago, before this spill had happened, I had gone up to Congress and I had said we need to crack down a lot harder on oil companies and we need to spend more money on technology to respond in case of a catastrophic spill, there are folks up there, who will not be named, who would have said this is classic, big-government overregulation and wasteful spending.
-----------------------------------------------------
So now he's blaming Congress for actions they didn't take because of things he didn't do? Seriously? Is he completely insane?

In an exclusive one-on-one interview with POLITICO, the president said: I think its fair to say, if six months ago, before this spill had happened, I had gone up to Congress and I had said we need to crack down a lot harder on oil companies and we need to spend more money on technology to respond in case of a catastrophic spill, there are folks up there, who will not be named, who would have said this is classic, big-government overregulation and wasteful spending. The _resident is on LSD. Now he's hallucinating. No way do I believe this lazy-ass did what he claims.

I think that we are looking at this all wrong. While we know that Barry is a blithering idiot, we are not looking at what he wanted to do.
What was the goal in allowing this runaway oil well? I firmly believe that it was an attempt to get BP into such dire financial straights as to necessitate the government taking control of BP. With control of BP they regime could then apply pressure to Exxon/Mobil, Conoco/Phillips, Amerada Hess, etc. Forcing them into such a place as to have the government seize them too.

"Some of the same folks who have been hollering and saying do something are the same folks who, just two or three months ago, were suggesting that government needs to stop doing so much", Obama said. Apples & oranges, Dumbo! Nice try attempting to create more strawmen.
The hollering folks are irate that the government is doing too much in areas where they shouldn't tread, yet are not doing nearly enough in those situations where the government should get involved ... like moving swiftly to clean up an oil spill!

Unbelievable, the progressives demand that no drilling be allowed closer to shore, so deep water drilling was born.
They create the disaster then blame everyone but themselves.
It reminds me of something Jesus said that fits people with this mind set perfectly. “You are like children. You whine that you want to play wedding, then you pout that you want to play funeral.” I'm sure I am paraphrasing that, but it's really close.
