Unbelievable, the progressives demand that no drilling be allowed closer to shore, so deep water drilling was born.
They create the disaster then blame everyone but themselves.

It reminds me of something Jesus said that fits people with this mind set perfectly. “You are like children. You whine that you want to play wedding, then you pout that you want to play funeral.” I'm sure I am paraphrasing that, but it's really close.

LOL...That is exactly what I have been thinking. Think that we can wait another few months?

Removing a freely elected POTUS is not an easy task. Americans better wake up and “they” better put the pressure on the Democrat Party to broom Obama. We are not there yet, but the winds of change are ablowin’!!!

It’s not just a Congress that would oppose him, it’s a Congress that he speculates would have opposed him IF HE’D DONE ANYTHING.

That is exactly the way to look at it.

The President has manufactured an excuse from a hypothesis.

It's really one of the most pathetic things I've ever heard a President say. Even Jimmeh Cahtuh never went this far.

I'll give him an "I" for Imagination. But an "F" on everything else.

“I think it’s fair to say, if six months ago, before this spill had happened, I had gone up to Congress and I had said we need to crack down a lot harder on oil companies and we need to spend more money on technology to respond in case of a catastrophic spill, there are folks up there, who will not be named, who would have said this is classic, big-government overregulation and wasteful spending.”

And if bull frogs had wings and wheels they wouldn't bump their ass when they hop.

Last time we saw such brilliant competence was 1979.

Au contraire, mon frere. This is much, much worse than 1979 - by orders of magnitude worse. In defending his own inaction, he comes up with a hypothetical, invents his own conclusion of that hypothetical, and then blames others based upon his invented conclusion. This is absolutely the most immature President this nation has ever had.

Certainly. But Carter never blamed Congress for the hostage crisis.

(Good grief, I can't believe I'm defending Jimmy Carter)

I agree, never thought I would see this twice in one life time!

Let us review history: JFK brought us the Cuban missile Crisis, The Bay of Pigs disaster, the Viet Nam war, the Marilyn Monroe affair and then, in three short years managed to get himself assassinated, LBJ turned Viet Nam into a national nightmare while spending us into huge deficits, then... Nixon (who's crime was spying on Democrats and then lying about it....woooo....) Then the idiot in chief Jimmy the Clueless Carter who gave is radical Islam when he sold the Shah down the river to appease his political buddies. Then, don't forget President Penis, er Clinton and his IMPEACHMENT trial... the this friggin disaster of a radical communist puppet. Yep. Them Democrats are a classy bunch of leaders, all right...

i think much of it has to do with the youth vote being one heck of a lot stupider now than in 1979. Kids and women put this fool in office.

Yeah, I know what you mean. We have a guy in the office who is three years out of college. When a colleague was pointing out to him that the federal budget deficit was over $1.6 trillion, his response was, “Why does that matter to you?” He really didn’t understand the detrimental effects of such a fiscal policy.

“Why does that matter to you?”

Apparently, these screwheads don't understand that 53 cents out of every Federal dollar spent is BORROWED from the Chinese who are no fan of us or our freedoms. Your co-worker is, to be blunt, an idiot.
