Saint Sarah [Newsweek's Full Bore Palin Attack]
Newsweek ^ | June 11, 2010 | Lisa Miller

Saint Sarah To white evangelical women, Sarah Palin is a modern-day prophet, preaching God, flag, and family—while remaking the religious right in her own image.

Another memoirist might prefer to keep such matters private, but Sarah Palin is not another memoirist. In Going Rogue: An American Life, Palin describes, perhaps for the first time in the history of political autobiography, a furtive trip to an out-of-state drugstore to obtain a do-it-yourself pregnancy test. This was in the fall of 2007, when the 43-year-old mother of four was governor of Alaska and began to notice “some peculiar yet familiar physical symptoms, like the smell of cigarettes making me feel more nauseated than usual.” So, while on business in New Orleans—at a time and in a place where her anonymity was still possible—Palin procured the kit. In the privacy of her hotel room, she “followed the instructions on the...box. Slowly a pink image materialized on the stick.

“To white evangelical women, Sarah Palin is a modern-day prophet, preaching God, flag, and family—while remaking the religious right in her own image.”

And NOW you know why Newsweek hates her,

hates her.

Too much good stuff .....................

And if you knew the Newsweek writers as I do then you’d understand it even better.

Thanks for the summary.

I’d click the link, but I don’t want to give Newsweak any more views than is absolutely necessary (which is almost never).

The bottom line is, those remaining Newsweak readers don’t like Sarah anyway, so it’s a sum zero loss/gain.

We’re tens of trillions in debt, we’re in a recession, our southern border is a joke, the Middle East could blow up at any time, but Newsweek in on the job, attacking the evil Sarah Palin.

Isn’t Newsweek going broke?

Articles like this are a good reason. But the press is like Obama, they just don’t seem to learn.

This leftwing propaganda is practiced here too....using words like cult, worshiping, it is such a yawner since those they choose to insult are the least likeliest to worship anyone but the Lord.

I would imagine this kind of critique for Palin is quit laughable considering she has been raised in the same way.

I didn't read anything in Newsweek for years, because I knew they had such a strong leftwing bias. But a few weeks ago, I picked one up in the doctor's office and really couldn't believe it.

I don't know how anybody can work there and not die from embarrassment at what they've done to the dying concept of objective journalism.

They make no bones about it, they are an official mouthpiece of the Democratic Party and reprint their positions as news with a completely straight face.

As pathetic as the New York Times is, at least they unsuccessfully make the effort to appear unbiased. They at least have the shame to try hide their obvious political allegiances. Newsweek doesn't even care. They are like highschool cheerleaders and Obama is the head quarterback. I don't doubt that they squeal when he shows up at press conferences.
