Turkey is calling for a jihad against Israel....

Erdogan's bellicose support for the flotilla has sacrificed Israeli relations in the service of retrograde east-facing aspirations........ Support for Turkey is at an all-time high in the Arab world. The last time Turkish flags were carried through the streets of Middle Eastern capitals was during the first world war, as people took to the streets in continued support for the Ottoman sultan-caliph against the western entente powers. The sultan-caliph had proclaimed a jihad. Thanks to Turkish government support of a blockade-running mission led by a group of Hamas sympathisers, they are flying once again. No ruling Arab leader is as popular as the Turkish prime minister, Recep Tayyip Erdogan, whose discourse amounts to calls for a jihad against Israel.

Israel's relations with Ankara – military, economic, and tourist (Israelis once flocked to Turkey) – have been sacrificed on the altar of Turkey's retrograde aspiration to lead the Islamic world and establish itself along with Iran as an alternative to American power. Turkey is once again turning eastwards.

Wow, I guess they shouldn’t have sold them all that land then. Bad call on their part way back when.

So the entire country of Turkey is going to have an internal peaceful struggle? That’s what Obozo’s crew says that Jihad means, so this would be a wonderful event. A bunch of bearded toga wearing Islamists putting flowers in their hair and having a sit in while they pontificate the finer points of life.

So, as a member of NATO, do we have to go their rescue when Israel bombs them with our stuff?

We should just bomb ourselves. And cut out the middle men.

What did not recognizing the genocide of Christians get Israel all these years? Nothing. And less than nothing.

Israel should now be prepared for enormous violence by their former “friends” among which is: burying children alive, burning whole villages in their churches, and raping little girls and women and much much much worse.

Turks had had practice over hundreds of years. They did all this a mere 90 years ago when they committed the first genocide of the 20th century against the Christians of Asia Minor.

I would never argue that there wasn’t mutual benefit but for decades Israel did just about anything- from the earthquake aid, to supplying weapons, to training, to intelligence, to helping with their enemies, to being a voice for Turkey in Washington, on and on and on.

This is the reward.

File under: Muslims will be Muslims.

And to any American patriot I say, even if you don’t care for Israel, if you care for American influence and power and interests, at the end of the day, only Israel can be trusted in the Mideast to always stand with the US. America’s so called Arab/Muslim allies are fair weather friends at best and inevitable enemies at worst.

Turkey, and the rest of the Arab world frankly, can take cheap shots at Israel...

But may I make reference to the following verse to help keep those threats in perspective:

"Behold, he that keepeth Israel shall neither slumber nor sleep."
Psalm 121:4

I long for the day when God will make Israel's enemies a footstool for the saints feet.
