the seven experts explained that the report draft they had reviewed did not include a six-month drilling moratorium. That was added only after they signed off.

So obamma lied, based on a change in the report, after the experts signed off on the report? Is this what I am reading? If it was not one of the recommendations by the experts, then how how could obamma claim it was?

I read it yesterday on one of the news blogs. Google should be able to pick it up.

FEMA IS AWOL. My guess is that Carol Browner, Obama’s Energy & Environment Czar, is in charge of this one.

Sounds to me like a False Statement, 18USC1001 which I believe is a felony.

I would not doubt much anything anymore.

Obama would nix anything that actually cleaned it up.

I heard on some leftist MSM news show that Obama is fixing on passing a La. ROCOVERY ACT. James Carville said Obam would go down as one of the grestest President’s in history...

So the fix is in folks...

Obama gets to use this to cease drill baby drill and pass cap and trade AND will get brownie points for passing some act that Carville says all La. people would support Obama.

The key factoid is that BP will supposedly pay for all of this...

(This may be why BP is lawyering up)

In the end we will pay for it in spades...

Engineering is a fatally flawed discipline in that it does not consider the social and emotional side effects of its conclusions.

We suggest it be replace by "Feelgineering", a modified, progressive approach to problem solving which considers the effects of solutions on the community and society in general before pronouncing them "true" or "correct".

They’ll run out of the $75MM liability cap long before those claims are paid.

This indicates they've already been hit up for $1.5 Billion

Hey BP made $16 Billion last year. Bammie and the demo-socialists want it all for “the people” (no, not you pensioner people who depend on dividends for retirement income)

That's chump change for a party that spends in the trillions and never feels a dime lighter in their personal pockets

Yep, the government has asked. They can ask for anything. That doesn’t change that BP’s liability is capped at $75MM. I hope they voluntarilly pay for the cleanup, but other then that there is little that can be done without violating the ex post facto protections within the constitution.

I think that people should just ignore what the feds have to say about cleaning up the oil spill and just do it.

What’s the government going to do if EVERYONE thumbs their noses at them? Fine them all? Throw them all in jail?

If nobody co-operates, then the government has the choice of either forgiving them to save face and look like the heroes or strong arming people into it and revealing their true totalitarian side.

Elections are coming up......
