Keeps coming to my mind:
8 Then the second angel blew his trumpet, and a great mountain of fire was thrown into the sea. One-third of the water in the sea became blood, 9 one-third of all things living in the sea died, and one-third of all the ships on the sea were destroyed. Revelation 8

Interesting, did you know Chernobyl in Russian means "Wormwood", a star falling from heaven poising the land and rivers? ... Aren't stars nuclear powered, I've read some interesting stuff on that ...

The city (Chernobyl) is named after the Ukrainian word for mugwort or wormwood (Artemisia vulgaris), which is "chornobyl". The word is a combination of the words chornyi (чорний, black) and byllia (билля, grass blades or stalks), hence it literally means black grass or black stalks. That may signify burnt grass, perhaps prior to cultivation.
