SNIPPET: "Quebec provincial police have arrested four people in connection with an alleged fraud ring that appears to have international ties.
Officers with la Sûreté du Québec carried out a handful of search warrants in and around Montreal Wednesday morning.
Police said they have seized almost $50 million in assets. While no biker gang members were among those arrested, police alleged the fraud ring is tied to the Hells Angels."
SNIPPET: "Police say Wednesday's arrests are also tied to a money-laundering plan.
However, in this case, police allege the money being laundered was subsequently lent to companies and individuals based in Quebec.
Local authorities in Belgium and Switzerland also took part in the police operation."

Warden Message: Prague (Czech Republic) Hells Angels Motorcycle Rally
CONSULAR AFFAIRS BULLETINS
Europe - Czech Republic
27 May 2010
U.S. Embassy Prague released the following Warden Message on May 27, 2010:
This Warden Message informs American citizens that the Hells Angels Motorcycle Club will hold its World Run in Prague from Friday, May 28th through Sunday, May 30th. The event will be held in a tourist camp at the Divoká árka Park and could attract over 2,000 Hells Angels members. Czech Police will be closely monitoring the gathering and are expected to have a sizeable protective presence. Most Hells Angels members are expected to stay within the venue, but groups could travel to local bars in the area or to downtown tourist zones. Beginning Friday, May 28th, police will place motorcycle checkpoints near park entrances along Evropská Street, to control movement into and out of the location. Vehicular travel along Evropská Street is expected to remain open throughout the event, although periods of traffic congestion are possible (particularly on Friday and Sunday when the majority of arrivals and departures are anticipated).
The World Run occurred in Prague without major incident five years ago; however, Hells Angels members have been involved in violent altercations since the inception of the club. American citizens are urged to use caution when in the vicinity of the Divoká árka Park, as well as the McDonalds Restaurant near the entrance to the park for the duration of the gathering. American citizens are also urged to exercise caution while traveling on Evropská Street near the park, within tourist zones of Prague, or while in any other areas where potentially unruly groups may be present.
Canada ping.
Why would the police crack down is the fraud was only alleged? /sarc
