Paterson offers sanctuary to chief
The governor rejected calls made Wednesday for the immediate resignation of Gladys Carrion for the failure of her "therapeutic" or "sanctuary" model of dealing with juvenile offenders.
"I think she's actually done an excellent job," Paterson said.
So if the economy was booming, it would be A-OK then?
Oh, I see, this is only a problem because the sexual acts performed on the inmates were inappropriate. Damned bureaucraps, sleeping on the job again: get with it folks, whip out a manual deliniating those sexual acts which are appropriate to perform on inmates so that this never happens again.
One prison employee said that he was ordered to drive two women invited to the dance in a state car from a street corner in Albany to Goshen and back -- a distance of 230 miles round trip.
Sounds like a long trip...how much you want to bet that they stopped at least once on the way back? To fill up the gas tank, of course. Seriously, I wonder how much this guy had to pay to receive that "order."
