Dear Mr. Attorney General:
Like yourself, I am a non-combat veteran of the US Armed Forces. I served four years active duty in the United States Army. I served honorably as a cold warrior in a tactical intelligence unit near the East German Border in the FRG as an intelligence analyst and Russian translator.
Ive not only listened to the news recently, Ive focused on what youve said, the import (literal and colloquial) of the words, and listened to it in context. Though proud to state what I believe, at times forcefully, I am not prone to histrionics, and believe in giving the benefit of the doubt; I insist on the whole story, and I recognize that at times reasonable minds may differ.
Yet, while each of us fails in our own respective areas of human fallibility, your sins of semantic gilding require a bold, uneuphemized apology; I dare say, too, that your withdrawal from the election and your resignation from your current position would be the minimal steps sufficiently weighty to put substance behind the form of such an apology.

Well said, especially the "rodentine patter" part!
That letter is brilliantly written. Wow! Blumenthal is done, what a disgrace he is.
Here’s my letter, as a Connecticut resident, to BlumenDodd.
Hey Dick!
Resign as AG you liar and drop out of the Senatorial race!
I do not know who Thaddeus Wojcik is but he writes one awesome letter.
This letter needs no endorsement from me; But if so;
I'd proudly co-sign the letter.
He’s a good friend of mine. A patriot, conservative, honorable, and decent man!
Blumenthal definitely sh*ts too close to the barracks.
This is an excellent letter.
Unfortunately, Blumenthal has shown he isn’t an exellent person who would take the honorable course. Though he should resign forthwith, he will need to be repudiated by the electorate.
That will happen, unless the dimcritter machine buries him first; not as a putz and a liar, but because he is now vulnerable.
Feel free to post in the Comments section of the article on the CDS site. We’ll approve the endorsements!
I served in that time period as a ROTC Lt. My service was limited to 115 days in Ft. Benning for Infantry Officers Basic Course (IOBC)and 3 summer camps of 2 weeks duration each (you couldn't get into a unit back then--in my area they were all filled with returning vets from Vietnam).
When our church asks for all the veterans to stand and be recognized for their service, I NEVER stand up. I am not in the same league as those who served longer or on a foreign field and I applaud all those who did. Blumenthal is the lowest of the low in my book.
Thanks. You keep good company!
You all need to obtain and read this book. It was written to expose turds like Blumenthal(I kinda wonder how many of the “vets” that stood behind him yesterday and just a fake as he is):

IMO, this political elitist is a prime example of the lying human waste in government today. Blumenthal and his ilk disgrace our forefathers and all those that sacrificed to protect and defend this nation. His political career is over. He disgraces himself and his family.
I applaud your modesty & common sense.
We need to think about that. CT is still a big Blue State. If this wounded candidate takes a hike, the guy that replaces him might be harder to beat just as what happened in PA yesterday. Specter would have been a lot easier to beat than Sestak.
Blumey is a BULLY PUNK.
I do not want him to drop out. Should be a R pick-up with this dishonorable man on the ballot.
Your service was that asked of you for the good of the nation.
When we held the parade for the first dedication of the Viet Nam Veterans Memorial I was there on the sidewalk taking a gazillion photos of the event ~ cost me hundreds of bucks to develop them ~ and as it came near an end there was a fellow out there I worked with, and he called me over to the parade and said "You belong here".
He'd been a forward spotter for Artillery. If he said I belonged there, then I belonged there although I only got as close to any sort of action down on the border between West Germany and the Czech Republic.
All of us went where we were sent.
