The Company the Pauls Keep
David Horowitz's NewsReal Blog ^ | Calvin Freiburger

Ron & Rand Paul will be the first to tell you how much they revere George Washington, how they’re the Last Politicians In America ™ who are faithfully carrying out his ideas. But there’s one lesson the Father of our Country took to heart growing up that the Pauls somehow missed:

Associate yourself with Men of good Quality if you Esteem your own Reputation; for ’tis better to be alone than in bad Company.

Sins of the Father

Ron Paul’s associations with the bigoted, lunatic fringe of American politics—including white supremacists, anti-Semites, and 9/11 Truthers—are by now the stuff of legend. On November 14 and November 25 of 2007, Andrew Walden wrote two stunning American Thinker posts detailing many such skeletons in the elder Paul’s closet:

Ron Paul is a regular guest on the radio show of 9/11 Truther Alex Jones, a strong Paul supporter. Walden writes that “Paul’s committee paid 9-11 conspiracy nut and talk-show host Alex Jones $1300. Jones claims the payment is a partial refund after he over paid August 27 when giving Paul a $2300 contribution. Aaron Dykes of Alex Jones’ company Magnolia Management and Alex Jones’ Infowars website gave Ron Paul $1600” (Paul himself, while being careful not to explicitly call 9/11 an inside job, has signaled his sympathy for the Truther movement). Paul has been endorsed and aggressively supported by former Ku Klux Klan leader David Duke, Holocaust denier Hutton Gibson (yep, Mel’s dad), the white supremacist American Nationalist Union, the Communist newspaper People’s Weekly World, scores of authors and commenters on various other racist websites, & the white supremacist Stormfront.org. In particular, Stormfront founder Don Black donated $500 to Paul, and when pressed on whether or not the money would be returned, the Paul campaign was non-committal.

You people are just Constitution hating meanies. Dr. Paul the elder has delivered over 1 million babies and Dr. Paul the younger has delivered over 1 million eyes. That is proof enough that they love this country more than you. From Spam flavored Wild Shrimp to Wild Shrimp flavored Spam, they have fought for this country to the last bite.

You people who hate the Paul’s just don’t understand.

I forgot to add, the proof that Paul wins ever online poll and Paul the Elder’s show on Bravo is one of the top rated shows on cable, shows he really is the reincarnation of George Jefferson ...err.. George Franklin? No, that’s not it, Jefferson Franklin.. yea, that’s the guy.

". . .You people who hate the Paul’s just don’t understand."

lol. . .meantime only Repubs who put their brains on 'hold' can support either Paul. All too depressing; as if the 'Republican foot' can take another bullet.

Please note that every people seek their own. We have Black supremacists following the NAACP, Farrakhan, Obama, and Jesse Jackson. Asians have their groups and hispanics follow La Raza (The Race). There is no one that does not follow their own and making claims that somehow Ron P is unique is a little silly. I am not a Libertarian, but Ron Paul has many positive positions to offer compared to the rest of the freedom-hating clowns that want to control other people, their personal decisions and have full access to the fruits of their labor.

Yeah, little Paul has been sending out full color letters and brochures here in KY raving over his tender loving care of preemies and their precious widdle eyes...saving them from the jaws of retinopathy or prematurity.

But 11 years ago when I took my severely premature baby to him for that exam, he was not gentle (son weighed about 4.5 pounds at the time and was over 2.5 months old), barely glanced into my son’s eyes, and was rudely dismissive of any concerns I had.

Then in a regular visit he managed to tick off my easy-going hubby to the extent that we paid out of pocket for out-of-plan care just to avoid the vaunted Dr. Paul. That was quite a feat...my hubby is a very patient person.

I’ve said all this before on FR, but really...he wasn’t being watched then and we saw how he really was.

Shhh!

You'll interrupt the Paultard, Paulidiot, Paulinista name-calling frenzy.

"They [the Pauls] are the False Prophets of the American Founding, styling themselves as heirs to the wisdom and heroism of Washington, Jefferson and their colleagues when, in fact, neither their character nor their ideas are worthy of our forefathers. The cause of truly restoring fidelity to our founding principles is too important for serious, conscientious conservatives to indulge these charlatans."

-- Calvin Freiburger

I agree.

Jim DeMint, Steve Forbes, Dr. James Dobson Sarah Palin, Jim Bunning, Concerned Women for America, Gun Owners of America, all endorsed Rand Paul over Trey Grayson.

Trey Grayson wins no conservative support except for primary voters that are pro-abortion.

I have yet to see anyone make the case for Trey Grayson.

No sympathies needed. He is now 11 and you’d never know he was early. Reads at a 9th grade reading level.

To be fair, that doesn’t necessarily mean that Rand Paul is all that great — just that he’s better than Trey Grayson.

Isn't that the reality of politics? This is a two man race, a vote has to be made.

Who's Calvin Freiburger?

Oh wait. There it is...

A conservative political science major at Hillsdale College, dedicated to the principles of the American Founding. He also blogs at rightcal.wordpress.com. When not hitting the books or battling the forces of the Left, Calvin plays the trumpet, spoils his cats, and consumes possibly-unhealthy amounts of science fiction and other assorted frivolities.

I bet he's also one of Tom Krannawitter's lapdogs...er...lapcats?

No problem. I will vote for the conservative. You RINOS can go to the other party with Crist. BTW, has anyone heard the new Paul add with James Dobson apologizing for not checking out little Trey’s lies?

What does that mean? Rand Paul is in the GOP and Crist is not, he is an independent, in an entirely different state.

Shucks, you’re right! To re-phrase, how about you RINOS go the way with Specter and take little Trey with you?
