When 70% of Arizona voters passed the new state law to curb illegal, undocumented immigrants, a firestorm was launched by the usual suspects from radical American liberals across the “progressive” political spectrum and in the liberal mainstream media (MSM).
Since the SB1070 immigration bill was signed into law by Gov. Jan Brewer, shrill accusations of Arizona becoming a Nazi police state have run rampant in all the left-wing circles, who have gone so far as to orchestrate a national and international boycott against all things Arizonan. And this time, they have enlisted “armies” of Hispanic special interest groups and illegal aliens to assist them in threatening Arizona citizens with promises of economic chaos and further violence unless the law is repealed and unconditional amnesty is granted. It is the equivalent of blackmailing to get money for nothing.
Outraged that this law will actually crack down on those who are literally breaking the law, the liberal minority, with their MSM allies, have managed to take control of the national conversation on this issue. They shout-down those who are trying to explain the out-of-control crime wave being committed by illegal aliens in the state and the extremely dangerous drug war raging just over the border fence. They accuse anyone who voted in favor of the bill or voice support for the bill as “racists” and hurl vitriolic insults to defame anyone who openly disagree with their agenda. When it comes to tar and feathering opponents, “progressives” (liberals) are experts.
The MSM have made sure that little-to-no mention is made of the fact that Phoenix now carries the dubious “honor” of being the #1 kidnapping capital of the nation, complete with beheadings and limb amputations. This problem for Arizona and Phoenix is a direct result from its geographical location as a major gateway hub for the Mexican cartels drug smuggling into the U.S. market. Yet it is downplayed in traditional media circles.
The MSM, acting in lockstep with their liberal friends in the White House and Congress make very little mention of how American ranchers, several of whom live in isolated stretches of land adjacent to the border, are often targeted by undocumented aliens for harassment, vandalism of property, robbed, and threatened. Even the recent murder of an American rancher by an illegal alien that crossed the border from Mexico and onto the victim’s private property is downplayed in the media.
To the vast majority of Americans, it is virtually unknown that there are regular border violations and incursions by Mexican authorities on a regular basis. Sometimes ranchers are threatened or confronted on their own properties during these illegal incursions, however, the MSM do all they can to omit these facts or simply will not report them.
Arizonans must live with these fears constantly, and it is the catalyst for why they voted to crack down on undocumented residents and border security. In addition to the 70% of state residents who voted for the measure, nearly 70% of the American people also support the law as well as much tougher laws to curb illegal immigration and secure the border. Rather than acknowledge and report this fact, the MSM tries to portray the minority of “progressives” who want open borders give unconditional amnesty as being the “mainstream opinion” of the majority of “enlightened” Americans. (In the language I have coined “Liberalese”, the term “enlightened” means “only those Americans who are liberal elite that actually count”).
While they omit reports about all the crime and violence that Arizonans must endure, the MSM targets the very people who carry the burden of unchecked illegal immigration. The liberal media have gone into overdrive to “report” all the “injustices” that the immigration law is doing to immigrants who simply “want a better life.” With their “progressive” allies, the liberal media have orchestrated false claims of police stopping “brown people” for no other reason than to ask that they “show their papers.” They cry that the law is nothing but a tool of racists and bigots designed to “cleanse” Arizona of anyone who resembles a Latino. They saturate the airwaves with all these “facts” to skew public opinion.
Coming from the liberal MSM, socialist-Democrats, race-baiting industry leaders such as Al Sharpton and “progressive” radical-left-wing university professors, none of this is really surprising. For years the American liberal fifth-column have been extremely vocal about simply dropping border security altogether to allow illegal immigrants from Mexico to simply become eligible for all the rights afforded to legal immigrants and natural-born American citizens. From their point of view, “American” citizenship would suddenly be rendered “outdated” and “useless,” because American citizenship would no longer carry any more advantages of constitutional protections over undocumented aliens. In fact, “citizenship” and “legal immigrant” status would actually become a burden, because American citizens and legal resident immigrants are the ones who would be paying the taxes for the welfare state that the illegal immigrants would enjoy under their “amnesty” status. From the perspective of all those legal immigrants who have gone through the process, work and effort to legally immigrate to this country, and to those who have gone to the further trouble of becoming American citizens, this liberal dream is not only insulting, but it is a slap in their faces, because it rewards the lawbreakers while it punishes the law abiding.
It is a dream of the anti-American radical left to see the elimination of the culture, language and institutions of the United States that make America “American.” They have spent years trying to keep the American people as obtuse to the realities of illegal immigration and the impact it would have on essentially destroying our national sovereignty.
The Arizona law is only enforcing existing federal laws that require the US Government to secure and protect the US-Mexican border. It is not about keeping immigrants out; we are all here because someone from our families past decided to leave their home for a new life of opportunity in this great nation. Americans have always welcomed immigrants from around the world with open arms. It is what has made this nation great in such a short time.
However, illegal immigration and lack of border security is not the same thing. It is an open violation of national sovereignty, and an affront to humanity. It has permitted an entire industry of human trafficking by criminal gangs of smugglers, who often take everything the migrants own and then leave them to “try or die” in the wide open desert. And it is an affront to all those immigrants who are here legally, are hard working, and are paying taxes. For them to have gone through the proper channels to become fully productive, law-abiding citizens, only to see millions of undocumented aliens suddenly rewarded for having broken the law with the exact same privileges that legal residents have earned, is tantamount to rewarding an employee who steals from the cash register by letting him keep the stolen cash while his colleagues must still work to make up the difference for the money the thief kept.
This is not racist or anti-immigrant, it is simply common sense.
Unless the federal government wakes up to this task and starts “providing for the common defense” of the chaos that is the US-Mexican border, that liberal dream of a world rid of America will eventually become reality, because we will have committed national suicide if we do not get control of the situation.

When rationality has left its subjects, insanity is all that is left. I used to wonder at radio talk show host, Michael Savage, when he’d say that liberalism is a mental disorder. It is plain to me now, what he means. When folks disengage from reality, and thrust themselves into non-reality its like a child pretending, but won’t leave his imaginary world to answer his obligation to be rational, ie, to engage with the reality that is... the reality that says, “Johnny, go brush your teeth or they will rot out of your head” or, “Johnny, don’t play with matches, you could burn the house down”. Johnny may imagine himself to be impervious to the laws of nature, but nature always wins out in a test of wits. What we have on our hands are a bunch of little Johnnys unwilling to answer the obligation to be rational, unwilling to understand the consequences of willful ignorance. When little Johnny becomes a threat to the rest of the household, he must be removed. Folks, we’d better stop allowing Johnny to run wild through the house, or we’ll all burn with it... my god man, do you understand what I am saying!!!

No, nationality profiling IS the answer. If the person doesn’t appear to be American (and no, skin color has NOTHING to do with it), then ask for ID. How can you tell - perhaps the person only speaks French - then ask him for his papers. We are ABSOLUTELY SICK of French people coming into this country ILLEGALLY and staying here.

I have a friend who is a citizen of Columbia but has a green card that he carries and has no problem showing it is the law. I used to bust his chops because his mom is actually a born citizen he could be one too but he likes being Columbian. BTW he is whiter than I am.
I lived in Puerto Rico for some time, some will speak no English by choice but write it better than a mainlander.
I had lots of Neo-Rican friends in NY who could speak no Spanish.
I do not understand how producing proper ID when already in trouble is racial profiling. Tell you what, go to Mexico or any other “Hispanic” country and pull a dumb stunt and see how many years you get. Deporting (sending you home) is usually not one of the choices.
No, racial profiling is not the answer- we need to go beyond racial profiling and include also ethnic, religious, behavioral, situational and vehicular profiling as well.

70% of Arizonans didn’t pass anything, their legislature did. 70% supported that legislation.
