Jim Banks take Indiana House District 17 Republican primary

The Republican ticket is set for the November race. Gary “Doc” Dillon, Indiana District 17 Representative, is stepping down at the end of his term. This led to a race for his seat by three men, Tom Wall ( Huntington County Commissioner), Jim Banks ( Columbia City Council), and Ron Fusselman (Coffee D'Vine owner). Mr. Fusselman would later pull out to challenge for another position.

The incumbent is leaving and Mr. Bank’s opponent (Mr. Wall)has only held political office for a couple of years. Mr. Banks is in high regard as in regard to his ethics and has more experience on the political scene. Only time will tell if his winning will be good or bad.
