"Trey cannot get any traction among real conservatives in Kentucky, he started out 15 points ahead and has lost 33 points as the Republican base has gotten to see him and Rand Paul on the issues and see their character."

Duncan Hunter and Fred Thompson couldn't get any traction in '08, but that doesn't mean either one was a worse choice than John McCain.

Rand Paul, like his Paulian father, is wrong on national defense, wrong on the war on terrorism and is wrong in Israel. He will vote with the Dem leftists at the first chance he gets to slash our defense spending, and disengage us from our enemies abroad. I'm sorry you're either too naive to realize, or too well-paid to care.

Trey Grayson is not Duncan hunter or Fred Thompson, but it is revealing that you would think so. Trey is the McCain in your scenario, except this time conservatives won over the establishment crowd. Trey is somewhere between Bill Clinton and Mitt Romney, which evidently you prefer in that Senate seat.

What is interesting is you keep claiming stuff about Rand that you have not substantiated yet.

Rand’s defense positions seem fine, his desire for a war declaration seems a valid position for at least one Senator to have, I think you and I served during Vietnam and we know of Korea, I don’t mind a little pressure in the declaration of war area, it sure beats the entirely weak, rino package of the anti-Palin, pro Romney, pro Bill Clinton liberal that you are trying to get elected.

This is all moot anyway, your guy has been been moving left for weeks and is plummeting even further in the polls.

Maybe you can get your rino into the Governor’s office, and there is always Mitt in 2012.

You are beating a dead horse here, and with nothing substantive anyway.

And Paul is the John F. Kerry, in your scenario.

He has the same isolationists views that his father possess. He's wrong for America. You're right, there is no need to beat that dead horse.

That doesn’t make any sense, you are promoting the liberal, and all the polling shows that your liberal naturally wins the liberal support, and that is all that he wins.

The candidate that is unquestionably the choice of conservatives across the board you are childishly trying to portray as the liberal.

It doesn’t wash, your Trey Grayson is the John Kerry of this race.

This is a REPUBLICAN primary, and the most conservative voters in the state overwhelmingly support Rand Paul, while the most liberal support your John Kerry. Your comparisons are ridiculously bassackwards.

Conservatives, Christians, social conservatives, and the statewide CONSERVATIVE GOP Kentucky voting population support Rand Paul.

“Conservatives favor Paul by 51 percent to 29 percent with 16 percent undecided. Those who attend religious services regularly or occasionally favor Paul by double-digit margins. Gun owners back Paul 48 percent to 22 percent with 22 percent undecided.”

Rand Paul leads by double digits among men and women, among conservatives, pro-life voters, gun owners.

“Grayson leads today only among the 1 in 5 Republican primary voters who say they are pro-choice.”

I'm not promoting anyone. I'm warning people of the dangers of Rand Paul's foreign policy positions.

Dick Cheney endorsed Grayson, not Paul. To anyone who makes national defense their most important political issue, Cheney's endorsement should speak volumes.

We already covered that, all the establishment figures and weak on social issues, members of the Romney for 2012 crowd are supporting the liberal Trey (and strong Romney man) over the conservative choice of Rand.

It sure hasn’t fooled any element of the conservative Republican primary voters of Kentucky as Trey has plummeted 33 points in the polls among them, Cheney’s endorsement didn’t help a bit.

The pro “homosexualizing the military crowd” is going to lose this race.

"Cheney’s endorsement didn’t help a bit."

This says more about the idiocy of the KY "conservative", than it does about the national security bona fides of Rand Paul.

Dick Cheney has done immeasurably more for this nation's safety than Ron Paul ever has, or Rand Paul could ever dream about.

Paulians are conservatives - they a nutty sect masquerading as conservatives, supported by idiot college kids who would rather smoke weed, than defend our country or the unborn. I'm sorry this is lost on you.

So far you have not shown anything that says that Trey Grayson is a better conservative than Rand Paul, why not try doing that, this girly whining that you are doing is tiresome.
