Animals can be driven crazy by placing too many in too small a pen.
Homo sapiens is the only animal that voluntarily does this to himself.

So the government funded “taxpayers” saw him and left him to die. ;-)

“In the wake of the bloodshed, a man came out of a nearby building and chillingly took a cellphone photo of the victim before leaving.”
In New York, I’m surprised no one tried to see if he had any money to steal while he laid dying.
Socialist mentality: NOTHING TO SEE HERE FOLKS, JUST MOVE ON.

I don’t know. I fear people have lost common sense & empathy. Maybe they just didn’t want to be involved. I know I couldn’t walk on by. It is very sad & scary when people can stop caring about their fellow man/woman.

“Cops said they received four 911 calls at around the time of the attack reporting a woman screaming, but found nothing.”

Union quality work.

Wow I totally agree. In a past life I had to travel to NY/Boston/Newark as a requirement of my employer. I hated it. I guarantee that New York New York is not ever not ever again.

How hard is it to call 911? Most cellphones have a one-key method for emergencies now. I’ve called when people were in danger of freezing, when people were acting loco on the bus . . . many times.

I’ve observed an overcrowding effect on people just in an office. When everyone is in it’s a less pleasing environment. Take a few out for the day and it’s more palatable.

New York City, in particular, at least certain parts, is incredibly crowded. And everyone moves fast. It can be very overwhelming. But I have been there when people stop to help someone in need. It’s not all awful.

Neighbors of New Yorker, Kitty Genovese, back in the 1960s listened a long time to Kitty’spiercing screams from her apartment, but did nothing and did not phone the police.

People afterwards said “Tsk, tsk, what is wrong with people?” and lots of analyses appeared.

This heroic man, himself bereft of home, retained and proved his humanity.
