Eveningstar leans more anti social conservative, and pro Giuliani types, he will always be bashing Palin.

He is an admitted libertarian and proven pro gay.

Then they (Matthews libs) starting explaining that Alinsky was really a republican.

Dear God...why didn’t the GOP run Alan Keyes in 2008?! The man is apparently unafraid to candidly speak the truth.

Agree with you, re: supporting Ron Paul.

Don't agree with you about Alan Keyes. Way too much wrong with him. Also has never won anything, ever.

...as she did when, as Governor, she boasted about putting a pro-abortion Planned Parenthood leader on the Alaska Supreme Court.

I never heard of this before. Not good, if true. I'll do a search on this tomorrow.

Here’s one result of such a search. She DID have a choice. Between two pro-abortion candidates.

http://www.washingtontimes.com/news/2009/mar/15/state-law-gives-palin-no-choice-but-pro-choice/

Alaska Gov. Sarah Palin had to make a tough choice in filling a vacant slot on her state’s Supreme Court: Appoint a woman who once served on the board of Planned Parenthood, or risk giving an environmentalist lawyer, also pro-choice on abortion, the chance to become an activist judge.....

He admitted, however, that Mrs. Palin was “backed into a corner” by the state’s system for selecting judges, known as the “Missouri Plan.” Alaska’s constitution requires an independent panel to vet and then submit choices to the governor when positions on the court open up. The only names the panel submitted for consideration were Judge Christen and Mr. Smith - neither an obvious conservative choice.

I’m afraid that the MSM will attack Sarah no matter what she does, what she says, or who she associates with......no actions on her part will ever stop that....

I prefer to call Mrs. Palin, “Sarah”..... to many of us she seems just like a good and trusted friend.....Try it sometime, you’ll like it! Kinda rolls off the tongue...

I think that Sarah has effectively nuetralized McCain, in relation to her hoped for Presidential run...and her Presidency....

McCain was a thorn in Bush’s side, much to the detriment of the Republican agenda, and much to the Dems/MSMs meriment...... I wish he would go away....far, far away....the South Pole wouldn’t be too far, would it?

Given Sarah’s experience in Alaska, I believe she already knows how to deal with corruption...Democrat and/or Republican..... It’s good that the grassroots is finally figuring that out about corruption......They’ll be in her corner because of it......even those that aren’t there already....

I’m not sure about JD’s chances, historically it is very difficult to successfully challenge a sitting Senator in the primary race. It has been done, but rarely..... If I had to guess..... McCain’s return to the Senate seems more than probable.....Would I be happy if JD won?...You Betcha!

Note that I do not know anything about the dynamics of Arizona politics other than what I read..... much of it seems biased one way or the other....I admit confusion as to the situation on the ground...

Sarah does not need to avoid “moderate” Republicans.... rather, she needs to harness them to her purposes.....read Sun Tse......

RINO is a much overused term on this, and other forums...to the point that it has no meaning at all...

While certainly no fan of McCain (actually I dislike him and others of his ilk) calling a man with a ACU rating of 80 a “RINO” is uncalled for and inaccurate.... Backstabber may be a more apt term.........because.....

When the chips are down,
McCain cannot be found!

Need help with your political life?
McCain’s behind you with a knife!

(I can assure you he wasn’t taught that in the Naval Academy/Service..if fact just the opposite.....making him more than merely detestible)

In case you haven’t noticed Sarah Palin is already a more than viable candidate....... See how even Obama retorts her criticisms of him....Does he do that to anyone else? Huckster, Mittens, Anyone? No?..... I assure you Obama knows exactly who the threat to him, and his socialist agenda, is.........

Frankly, I think that Sarah has a good handle on what she is doing, and what she needs to do. She requires no advice from the peanut gallery .... certainly not from me....nor from you....

It is fun talking about the ins and outs of it though?..... Isn’t it?............ LOLOLOL

Well, looks like you got it all figured out.

As I said, I like some of Mrs. Palin's ideas, I like her frankness, I do not like her political associations.

She owes McNutt nothing.

If Sarah is a true conservative and not a rino, then there is only one explanation for her public behavior with regard to Steele and McCain (although with McCain there is also the misplaced loyalty issue). She may believe that splitting the Republican party is a real danger given the disconnect between Tea Party beliefs and what the GOP has become. She may be trying to head off the formation of a third party that will assure victory for the Dems. If not, I am puzzled and unhappy with her treatment of McCain and Steele. Saying nothing at all would be better than what she has done. However, I am willing to give her the benefit of the doubt.
