He may be the world's foremost mixed-race leader, but when it came to the official government head count, President Barack Obama gave only one answer to the question about his ethnic background: African-American.
The White House confirmed Friday that Obama did not check multiple boxes on his U.S. Census form, or choose the option that allows him to elaborate on his racial heritage. He ticked the box that says "Black, African Am., or Negro."

Then he lied on the census and should be held responsible.
I think the powers that be would hold him responsible if he ever told the truth. It’d be a shorter trial, that’s for sure.
His grandmother was just a typical white person anyway.
My personal theory is that the Hawaii long form has is race as “white”, and that is why he is keeping it sealed. Better to be thought of as Kenyan than white.

Obama would write in “Dreams...,” — “I ceased to advertise my mother’s race at the age of twelve or thirteen, when I began to suspect that by doing so I was ingratiating myself to whites.”
Abandoned by his father and shipped off by his mother to his white grandparents, Barry Soetoro is enrolled in the Punahou School, begins the search for his “blackness,” and becomes Barack Hussein Obama.
“I learned to slip back and forth between my black and white worlds,” he wrote in “Dreams.” “One of those tricks I had learned: People were satisfied so long as you were courteous and smiled and made no sudden moves. They were more than satisfied; they were relieved — such a pleasant surprise to find a well-mannered young black man who didn’t seem angry all the time.”
Obama wrote that in high school, he and a black friend would sometimes speak disparagingly “about white folks this or white folks that, and I would suddenly remember my mother’s smile, and the words that I spoke would seem awkward and false.”
As a result, he concluded that “certain whites could be excluded from the general category of our distrust.”
At Columbia, Obama disapproved of what he called “half-breeds” who gravitated toward whites instead of blacks. And yet after college, he once fell in love with a white woman, only to push her away when he concluded he would have to assimilate into her world, not the other way around.
“We were always playing on the white man’s court — by the white man’s rules. If the principal, or the coach, or a teacher wanted to spit in your face, he could, because he had the power and you didn’t. The only thing you could choose was withdrawal into a smaller and smaller coil of rage.”
Obama once described the white race as “that ghostly figure that haunted black dreams.”

Don’t you know the old rules? If you have ONE DROP of Negro blood in you, you are officially “black”.
Well, that’s the way it was years ago. Remember the old 1930s black movies? White girl falls for black man. Can’t get married till it is revealed the white girl has ONE FROP of black blood in her past.

There is a $500 fine for falsifying information on the form.
There is no getting away from it. He has a white Mom so it does not matter how dark or light his skin is or if his hair is straight or curly - he is half Black and Half white.
The other side of this story is why is he ashamed of being half white?
