WASHINGTON (AP) -- The No. 2 Senate Democrat accused Republicans on Wednesday of refusing to accept the finality of health care changes, a day after President Barack Obama signed the most sweeping medical system remake since Medicare.

"This is a political exercise for too many on the other side of the aisle," said Sen. Dick Durbin. "We're going to tell our people back home, 'It's time to govern. It's time to lead.' "

The response to these arrogant bastards needs to be so furious that they never, ever try this again. Do we have the courage? I’m not sure.

The Dems need to accept the finality of the electoral massacre coming their way, and the finality of the repeal of not just ObamaCare, but much of the rest of the socialist/collectivist/welfare state that will ultimately follow.

What an asshole. He’s telling us to give up your constitutional rights and submit to the Stalinist cabal that’s trying to turn the US into a socialist hellhole. I have a better idea. Let’s vote Durbin out of office in this next election. Hey Dicky, you’re greatly underestimating the amount of fight and tenacity in the American people and how long and hard we will fight against socialist/communist tyranny.

It is time to govern, time to lead. I just hope and pray that a real American will step forward to take this thug's advice before it is too late. Let's start by leading back to constitutional government, fiscally responsible government, and moral government. Let's kill "health care", end ALL earmarks, end ALL government programs that are outside the enumerated powers, and pretend that this is a government OF the people, BY the people, and FOR the people, rather than a bunch of philosopher kings who deign to make all of life's decisions for us little people who couldn't handle freedom.

you’re response was much nicer than mine (redfaced) I’m a Christian girl and the words just popped out before I could slap my hand over my mouth (I actually said it to the screen) I’m glad my kids are at school and didn’t hear mom say such a bad string of words lol

The response: NUTS!

Good one!

I hope enough people know their World War II history to get it. For the record, my father was captured at the Battle of the Bulge, so your comment is not insignificant to me.

Senator Richard J Durbin
309 HART S O B
WASHINGTON DC 20510

Send him a post card or a card.

Or email him at http://durbin.senate.gov/contact.cfm

NOW, he says ‘It’s time to govern. It’s time to lead.’ But when the Republicans passed a bill HE didn’t like, what was his response?

0bama: “I WON!”
Democrats: “WE WON!”
Republicans: [didn’t start speaking out with force until election year]
Tea Party: “We are taking Washington back in 20-10!”

Hey Durbin....lookiee lookiee

Amendments to the United States Constitution....ratified by 3/4 of the state legislatures

Do you think the states would be interested in taking power back from the Fed if for nothing else getting all that lovely power and tax money the Fed just took?...

Time for the people reclaim our power from the fed by the people exploiting the states own self interest and getting the states to reclaim their own 10th Amendment rights by passing a new Amendment retaking power from the fed
